It's been a busy day in the beauty world. Jennifer Aniston announced her partnership with Living Proof as spokesmodel and co-owner, Kate Bosworth was out and about promoting SK-II, and Liv Tyler debuted her Givenchy lipstick collaboration in France. See all the details in today's Beauty Beat. On Kirbie: Anna Catherine top, Greylin blazer.
For nearly two decades, Jennifer Aniston has had some of Hollywood's most envied hair. Now she's investing in it — literally — through a new partnership with Living Proof. The actress will take the title of co-owner and hair care spokesperson for the brand. "What caught my attention about Living Proof is the company's unique approach to hair care — using scientific technologies to offer women actual proof in a bottle rather than hoping for results," she said in a press statement. "My hair has taken a serious beating. After using these products, I felt like I finally discovered a solution that works every day."
Jennifer won't be a silent partner in this business venture. Her responsibilities for the brand will include working with stylists and scientists to create new products, developing the Living Proof brand, and marketing. Now you can add hair care innovator to the long list of Jennifer's recent roles.
Looks like good hair runs in the family. The daughter of the late Vidal Sassoon has opened the doors of Eden by Eden Sassoon in West Hollywood, which she and partner Michael Baruch (the man behind Fred Segal Beauty) have dubbed a "finishing studio." The spot offers blow-dries, makeup application, and manicures at a heavily discounted rate. Sassoon claims that a full-service visit will last just over an hour and cost $65. "We're trying to create a new category in this space," Baruch told WWD. "It's really about your finishing."
Some of the top names in the beauty industry are involved in the studio. Stylists from Serge Normant for John Frieda and Warren Tricomi will be picking up weekly shifts at Eden by Eden Sassoon, allowing for a kind of exchange program. Baruch and Sassoon are already planning on a second location in the LA area, but Sassoon's dream is to go international. "I'm following the Sassoon name around the world," she said. "Dad always said, 'Think big.'"

Celebrity hairstylist Kyle White shares his color care tips and tricks — including how to protect hair from the sun — in this tip-filled post from Allure.
Gossip Girl returned this week and, with it, my complete obsession with Blair Waldorf's perfect, chocolaty-brown hair color. Let's just say that it wasn't a coincidence that I recently booked an appointment with colorist Kyle White at the Oscar Blandi Salon (Mariah Carey flew this guy to Capri to touch up her highlights — he's that good), where he took me from blonde to full-on brunette. And I absolutely love it. But there's one problem: I'm terrified to wash my hair.
Five full days have gone by since my last shampoo, and I know it has to happen tonight. So I called White to find out how to keep my beloved new color from washing down the drain. Here's what he recommends to his celebrity clients:
After applying the invisible pad, Carmindy recommends putting on makeup as normal. "The great thing is is that it's allowing air to get in using microair technology, but at the same time all the contaminants — the makeup and the powder — stays out of the cold sore." If you're trying to cover up a cold sore the old fashioned way, however, Carmindy advises going with a neutral lip shade. Then play up your eyes (perhaps with one of these trendy color combinations for Fall) to bring the focus up and away from the lips.
Summer eye palettes are filled with pastels and fluorescents, but now it's time to dim the brights for Fall. In addition to swapping your foundation and lipstick, give your eye makeup a changeup. Check out these eye-catching color pairings to update your shadow collection this season.
As she prepares to go away to college in the Fall, Haley Horsager is eager to embrace the spirit of reinvention. Yet she also wants to honor and acknowledge the family who has loved and shaped her into the strong woman she is today.
By donating her long hair to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program, she’s found a way to do all of the above with an exciting new makeover that supports her family’s core beliefs and pays tribute to her grandfather’s recent struggles with cancer.
