J Lo Crushed a Karaoke Performance in Italy So Hard, She Ripped Her Dress

Jennifer Lopez is living her best life on vacation. During a trip to Capri, Italy, the multi-hyphenate stopped by a popular bar and live music venue called Taverna Anema e Core, where she treated patrons to an impromptu karaoke performance. Lopez grabbed the microphone and belted out Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and her own 1999 hit "Let's Get Loud," with manager Benny Medina and vocal coach Stevie Mackey providing backup vocals and tambourine accompaniment. She had the entire crowd singing along and got so into the performance that she ripped one sleeve of her silver sequin minidress, as seen in video footage from the evening.

Lopez has been enjoying a summer getaway in Italy with Medina, Mackey, photographer Ana Carballosa, and stylist Shawn Barton, previously shopping in Capri and dining at a seaside restaurant in Nerano on the Amalfi Coast. She also slipped into a white bikini for a beach photo shoot to promote her cocktail brand Delola. It doesn't look like Ben Affleck or either of J Lo's kids are on the trip.

Lopez's musical talent will be on display in her ninth studio album, "This Is Me... Now," which is expected to drop sometime this summer. The project is a follow-up to her 2002 album "This Is Me... Then," and a tribute to her relationship with Affleck. "[It's] kind of a culmination of who I am as a person and an artist," Lopez told Vogue of the album in the December 2022 cover story. "People think they know things about what happened to me along the way, the men I was with — but they really have no idea, and a lot of times they get it so wrong. There's a part of me that was hiding a side of myself from everyone. And I feel like I'm at a place in my life, finally, where I have something to say about it."
