Of course you can expect Kate Middleton to dress festively on Christmas morning, but oh, how tastefully she pulled it off! The duchess wore a crisp hunter-green Sportmax coat that was fitting for the church service the royal family attended in Sandringham. But Kate's accessories were what really stood out: a thin leather belt that cinched her design at the waist and created an A-line silhouette — making for one of our favorite styling tricks — and a coordinated felt hat that reminded us of mistletoe.

Kate's outfit was complete with black gloves, a simple, elegant clutch, and heeled Aquatalia boots that met the hemline of her jacket. Her jewels included drop earrings and a silver brooch that played up the pattern on her printed dress, peeking out from beneath her collar. As soon as we saw Kate's look, we were instantly inspired to create an outfit with such sophistication. Read on to see how it's done.
