POPSUGAR: What's your go-to styling hack for doing the unexpected layering that you always do?
Leandra Medine: Style is such a personal experience, and I think in many cases it comes quite naturally to people. Which is what makes it personal, right? So when people ask me that question it often sounds like: You're so good at breathing, do you use your nose or your mouth? Which sounds ridiculous. A lot of times it's about how many prints I can throw on and how many layers I can make work.

PS: What would you say is your best fashion buy under $100?
LM: I recently bought a Sleepy Jones robe on sale, which I wear all the time. I'm wearing a lot of robes lately.

PS: What pieces are you loving for Summer?
LM: A lot of robes and slip dresses.

PS: Do you have one style of sunglasses that you go back to every time?
LM: I'm really wacky about my sunglasses. I feel like that's such an easy way to make a point, it's like a temporary tattoo on your face. I like Transitions lenses because I like to keep my glasses on inside sometimes. It feels like they are very much part of the look. I'll wear them with the outfit, and keep them on for the rest of the day. I really like having fun with that stuff.

PS: What's one accessory that you can't leave home without?
LM: I don't really wear accessories in the Winter but I love bracelets, so I'm really happy that the weather is nicer because it's much easier to wear them.

PS: What's one store that you love, either that you think people don't really know about yet, or people wouldn't expect?
LM: I don't really shop that much. I know that sounds silly, but I actually don't. Mostly when I do shop, it's online on websites like Net-a-Porter.

PS: What's one of your favorite places to go for basics or when you need a quick outfit?
LM: My closet. I don't put bandaids on my wardrobe. It's so rare that a woman actually needs a new outfit.

PS: What's your favorite Carrie Bradshaw outfit, or outfits, of all time?
LM: She wears this ridiculous metallic green skirt with this white ass ruffle in season four. It's like a high-waist, very tight miniskirt. With a button-down. And I feel like that outfit has been the genesis of many things I've worn. She was also very good at wearing clear sandals that made her look like she was standing on her tippy toes all the time.
