Emma Stone sure knows how to glam it up, doesn't she? At last night's GQ Men of the Year event in LA, the actress wowed in this subtle lavender shadow. Encircling the eyes with makeup can look raccoon-like, but Emma manages to pull it off, thanks to a light touch and a soft-toned shade. The great thing about this cooler-toned shade is that it looks great during all seasons, and it just happens to be very of-the-moment. You can look pretty in purple shadow, too. It's official: Nicole Fox is America's Next Top Model. Contain your thrill! OK, while this finale wasn't the most suspenseful ever, it was nice to see that two sweet and semi-geeky girls made it to the end, right? As my short-legged cat Milo and I watched the episode, we had mixed emotions. This may be the first time that the winner had more viability as a model, and Nicole could pick up some edgier gigs. Still, I couldn't help but want to hug Laura, who clearly was crushed by being the runner-up. This episode earns just a two-Milo rating. Once, on a trip to Sorrento, I stayed in a beautiful pied a terre that overlooked a lemon and blood orange grove. At night, the fragrance from the blossoms and newly fallen fruit was intoxicatingly heady, and so heavy that it made me dizzy. Combined with the Sorrento moonlight (and the limoncello), well . . . let's just say that since then, real lemon has been one of my favorite scents. It's so refreshing and cool, with the bitter edge that makes it exciting, too. And lemon can be eminently feminine without being floral or cloying, which is part of what makes it such a singular scent.
