Are your lips chapped or dry right now? Mine are just coming down after a little cayenne pepper experiment gone awry. So, I did a little search for lip balms to take out some of the sting, and what did I find? A product by some bees, of course. For today's reader review, see what Indie B had to say about Honey Lip Balm by Burt's Bees ($3.99). The floor's all yours, Indie:
I love this lip balm. It is my absolute favorite hands down. There isn't a time when it's not on my lips. Smoother than the original Peppermint Burt's Bees, it has a subtle scent and gives a nice matte sheen to lips. Did I mention that it feels great? Excellent for parched, dry lips — excellent for any lips! This lip balm is a must-have. It also works wonderfully under lipstick or gloss.

If you can't wear bright colors on New Year's Eve, when can you wear them? I'm not one to go all out with a bold hue, but a hint of tint? No problem. Inspired by the Fall Proenza Schouler runway makeup, I used Mark Metalliner ($5) to draw a thin line of shimmery blue along my upper lash line. This liner gets the thumbs-up from me because it's inexpensive, the color is bright, and the tip is extremely thin — so it's easy to use even if you're a liquid-liner novice. And even in a blurry camera-phone shot, it grabs your attention. So go ahead, have a little fun with your makeup tonight — or make it a resolution to do so in 2009.
I know what you're thinking: There just isn't enough time to get everything done in 2008! But now there is, or at the very least, now there's a way to kill time until your boss lets you off of work early. It's survey time!

It's been a very good year for Halle Berry: She became a mother to cute baby Nahla, earned praise for her role in Things We Lost in the Fire, and was named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive. Not bad! Now, the question is: Can you correctly guess which names belong to a Halle Berry movie and which are the names of beauty products? Go on, give it a shot.

As previously reported, OPI has developed a line of 90210-themed nail polish. The bad news for fans of the original series is that the collection is inspired by the new show. The good news is that the three colors are versatile and pretty — so even if you're more into Brenda and Dylan than Dixon and Silver, they're worth a look.
The nail polishes ($8.50 each) are available now, but they'll be retired before long. If there's another round of polishes, might I suggest a peach shade in honor of Nat?
