There was no shortage of BET Awards beauty, but Alicia Keys stood out with a look that's fresh and fun. Her coral lips were pursed to plump perfection, thanks to a colorful yet glistening gloss. Makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff used TRUE Satin Lip Shine in Luscious on Alicia, and here are a few other similar hues to help you get the look.
14 Lovely Looks From the 2009 BET Awards
It's not easy to name the absolute best look on any red carpet, and this year's BET Awards were no exception. Rather than name one lady the loveliest of them all, I've rounded up 14 and picked a standout beauty choice for each one. Just think of it as our own little awards ceremony, so get started to see who's placed in each category.
Which Red-Carpet Star Was Most Fab at the BET Awards?
It was the 2009 BET Awards this weekend. Did you tune in? If so, you would have definitely noticed five standout ladies on the red carpet. Alicia Keys opted for an embellished Jenny Packham, Beyonce did sequined Balmain, Ciara chose maroon leather, Zoe Saldana continued her clean streak with Calvin Klein, and Adrienne Bailon worked a glam bubble dress. All different, all gorgeous, but who's most Fab?

Inspired: Cassie's Edgy Take on Crochet
Singer Cassie rocked an edgy, punk crochet look at the BET Awards last night. I love how glam the lacy pattern looks in black, and Cassie's punk-inspired half-shaved head accentuates the singer's beauty while letting fans know that she's not to be trifled with. Inspired, I set out to find some similar looks.

Of course, my hero Tord Boontje would have a lamp that would fit Cassie to a T. His Artecnica Come Rain Come Shine Light ($4,950) has the same lacy, edgy glamour as Cassie's BET Awards ensemble.

BET Awards Honor Michael With Help From His Music, Family and Moves
The stars gathered in LA last night for the BET Awards where they paid tribute to Michael Jackson. Joe was on the red carpet talking about how much Michael would have appreciated the outpouring of love and support and once the show started Janet took the stage on behalf of the Jackson family. She said, "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak with all of you. I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love; thank you for all your support." Jamie Foxx performed "I'll Be There" and showed off his attempt at MJ moves to "Beat It." The red carpet was full of beauty highlights and other performances included Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, but there was no question that the night belonged to Michael amid so many rumors and stories surrounding his untimely passing.

Two Uhuras Boldly Go to the BET Awards

Aww. Here we have Zoe Saldana and previous Bella Donna pick Nichelle Nichols at the BET Awards. They're the two actresses who've played Lieutenant Uhura on Star Trek. If you look closely, you'll see that aside from their choices of lip color, the women have similar makeup styles. But where Zoe chooses a bright lip color, Nichelle sports a barely-there shade — a good choice for older women, since darker colors can "bleed" into lip lines. What makes me happiest about this photo is the way it shows that beauty isn't restricted to the young. Though they have 45 years between them—Zoe's 31, while Nichelle is 76—both women are, to put it mildly, stunning. So the next time you start to worry about a wrinkle here or a gray hair there, take a look at this photo as a reminder that a genuine smile, expression lines and white hair can be breathtaking, too. Love them!
Love It or Hate It? Lil Mama's BET Awards Look

As at the MTV Movie Awards, Lil Mama sported at multi-hued hairstyle, and she did a similar thing for the BET Awards. This time, she retained her blonde and black curls, but added in some sleek bangs and a few choppy pieces to frame her face. (Makeup-wise, she keeps things low-key — a smart idea when your hairstyle is bound to grab attention.) The teenage rapper always takes risks on the red carpet, and this time is no exception. Do you dig her adventurous style here, or is it too risky for you?
