The carpet wasn't the only thing that was red tonight. Some of our favorite actresses — and nominees — arrived at the Academy Awards in the eye-catching hue. Both Sally Field and Jennifer Aniston reached for Valentino dresses; Field opted for a long-sleeved number with semisheer panels, while Aniston decided on a timeless princess-gown silhouette. Not to be outdone, Olivia Munn and Marcia Gay Harden went for body-con gowns, also in the standout color. One thing's for sure: these ladies certainly painted Hollywood's biggest night red.
Oscars 2013 is just around the corner, and that means we have a lot of seriously gorgeous beauty looks to look forward to. We'd be remiss if we didn't pay homage to those who came before 2013, because, really, they set the stage for this year's nominees. From Kate Winslet's Oscar-winning updo to Michelle Williams with her wavy chignon and red lips, we're recapping the best looks of all time. On Kirbie: Bebe Blazer, H&M dress.
Even though award season is close to over, celebrities haven't lost their stamina quite yet. On the East and West Coasts, a bevy of leading ladies stepped out for the Writers Guild Awards, and their array of beauty looks reminded us why we love red-carpet beauty oh-so much. At the InStyle afterparty, Bérénice Marlohe wore a shimmering blue shadow for a modern smoky eye. The combination of navy eyeliner and frosty shadow brought out the glint in her brown eyes. As for her hair — the wave trend continued — Bérénice's texture was more beach than boudoir. Do you like her sultry style?

Jaime King took the sleek, straight hair trend from the Golden Globes red carpet to the InStyle afterparty. Her shoulder-length hair was pulled away from the face with a central part. In the back, the two sections joined to create a half-up style. Jaime's makeup concentrated on neutral pink and brown hues. Do you love her casual, almost-up 'do?
The Critics' Choice Awards offered up redemption for Ben Affleck's Oscar snub, confirmation of Jennifer Lawrence's rising star, and plenty of memorable moments in between. We're bringing you the highlights from the star-studded event in this PopSugar Rush.
If it wasn't all-over sequins or bold color that caught our eye on last night's afterparty attendees, it was the sultry sheer detailing that drew us in. With subtle sex appeal, sheer fabrications left just a little to the imagination on necklines and hemlines alike. While the feel from Kate Bosworth's Prabal Gurung confection, Zoe Saldana's Marios Schwab, and Ginnifer Goodwin's Peter Som gowns are on the moodier, edgier side of the sartorial spectrum, the feel is a touch softer and ethereal in white, and all-out sexy in red finishes. In each case, sheer details play up the drama of the dress with see-through illusion that's eye-catching without going over the top. The dominant trend at the Independent Spirit Awards may have been the blazer. Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams, and Jessica Chastain suited up in three very different ways. Kirsten was short and flirty with her Dolce and Gabbana black minidress and white blazer, while Michelle went for a crisp boys look in her Louis Vuitton shorts suit and buttoned up white shirt. Jessica appeared in a black skirtsuit, which seems to be making a comeback for Spring. What's your favorite rendition of a dressed-up blazer look?
Having a successful show on the Food Network may not get you industry accolades like the recent James Beard Awards, but it can get you a nod from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This morning the daytime Emmy Award nominations were announced, and among the nominees are many culinary personalities.
Rachael Ray and Giada De Laurentiis received three nominations each, while Martha Stewart was nominated for two awards. America's Test Kitchen, Avec Eric, Cook's Country, Lidia's Italy, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and Paula's Best Dishes will duke it out in the outstanding culinary program category. Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee is up for outstanding achievement in hairstyling.
Since I'm a huge fan of Anne Burrell, I'm rooting for her to win outstanding lifestyle/culinary host.
