The leaves are distilled, pressed and can then be used topically or aromatically (inhaled). Tea tree oil can be found in many over-the-counter beauty, household and first aid items.

We all know how wonderful it can feel to take a long soak in a bath, but for those of you who are pressed for time but still want to indulge in a little treat for your tired feet, here's an at home, do-it-yourself recipe from all-natural beauty expert Janice Cox. She believes that “If you can cook, you can create your own beauty products." Here's what you'll need to concoct a fabulous and calming foot bath for your footsies!

  • Use a piece of cheesecloth and wrap four tablespoons dried alfalfa leaves, two tablespoons dried mint leaves and two tablespoons dried thyme leaves inside.
  • Fill a basin with two gallons of hot water, and pour in four tablespoons of Epsom salts.
  • Stir the bath until the salts dissolve, then float the herbal bundle in the water to steep until the temperature cools.
  • Finally, soak your feet in the fragrant water anywhere from fifteen to twenty minutes. When you are finished, pat your body dry and massage a thick foot cream or grape seed oil into your skin.

Green Tea

Product Review: June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Hand Treatment

By now, I am sure you've figured out that I am a little bit sensitive to products with strong smells.

By now, I am sure you've figured out that I am a little bit sensitive to products with strong smells. So putting on a fragrant hand cream was never really up my alley—until now. For funsies, I decided to try out this June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Revitalizing Hand Treatment ($46) because of its surprisingly light scent.

I was expecting something much heavier but in actuality it's very refreshing. In addition, the texture is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's ridiculously thick and creamy, so all you really need is a little bit to cover both of your hands. It spreads evenly, absorbs quickly and penetrates deeply.

And I've come to find that if you rub a little bit extra into your cuticles, most of the puffiness and redness (caused by picking or trimming) diminishes overnight.

I am hopelessly in love with this product. In fact, it's sitting next to my computer so I can have easy access to it all day. (Hey, I never said I wasn't an extremist!) The only slight issue I have is with the packaging. It's kind of dull and boring, and I really wish they made this in a tube form. When your hands are slippery, it makes getting the cap of the jar back on a real challenge!

Product Review: Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil

My mother-in-law just brought me back a bottle of this really cool Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil ($16) from her vacation in the Maldives.

My mother-in-law just brought me back a bottle of this really cool Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil ($16) from her vacation in the Maldives. What's amazing about this product is that it really is all natural—something we rarely see in the States. Because of that, you have to keep it in the refrigerator after opening so it doesn't spoil.

The consistency of this oil is also unique. It changes properties in different temperatures meaning that when it's in the fridge it's a solid, and when it mixes with your body heat it becomes a liquid. It's an unbelievable body moisturizer and it also does wonders for restoring hydration to the ends of your hair.

The oil is made in Tahiti and the name, "Hei Poa," means red flowers - crown of the green valley. This is perfectly titled since the oil is made from Tahitian coconuts and at least ten fresh tiara flowers. One whiff of it and your mind can't help but to instantaneously wander to a perfect day at the beach.

To use, take a little scoop from the bottle and rub it all over your body. Keep in mind that just a little bit will go the distance to cover your whole body and once it liquefies it spreads quickly!

A whole bottle is going to last you for eons. You can equate it to that really large container of Vaseline that's been sitting in your parents medicine cabinet since childhood! I love this oil and I think you will too. I can't wait to hear your reviews!
