One reader who clearly has her shine regimen down to a science is Dagne (seriously, look at her picture). She starts with Graham Webb's Stick Straight Shampoo and Conditioner, and concludes with Tosca's Shine Detangling Conditioner.
Additionally, both Dagne and Sage Eyes (again, look at her shiny hair) recommend spritzing on a little apple cider vinegar after shampooing and before conditioning for even more shine. I can't wait to try these out; how about you?
For last week's Beauty Mark It challenge I asked you to imagine a fantasy (er, nightmare) that required you to choose just one beauty product that you can't live without. I know, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it. My personal choice was a dual-sided mascara that transitions my bare lashes from day to evening with just one tube. It was my way of getting two products in one!
The less deceptive winner of the challenge goes to Miss PopSugar herself, only because I can personally attest to her particular obsession with Prada's Shielding Lip Balm. She loves it because it "goes on smooth. Never greasy. The individual little tubes last a couple weeks so it's worth the expensive ticket especially if you are a lip-balm fanatic." She's not joking when she says she has two years worth!

Tomorrow is one of my favorite holidays, National Splurge Day. It's the one day a year that you can throw caution to the wind and unashamedly spoil yourself. Since we're all about beauty products here on Bella, I thought it would be fun to see what you're currently pining for, but not necessarily purchasing because of the price tag.

The MTV Movie Awards aired on Sunday, and even though the whole thing was one big Summer movie trailer, there were some enjoyable moments (hello Wayne's World). As expected, though, the most exciting part for me was watching the starlets walk the red carpet and debating their beauty choices.
Last week, I asked you all to imagine what makeup you would wear to the awards show. Reader Chiquita25 and her suggestion of Chanel Aqualumiére Gloss, was right on the money. I say this because it looks like the exact product that Lauren Conrad applied to her pout. And who's more MTV than Miss Conrad? Brava.

Another Memorial Day day has come and gone, and I hope that you had a relaxing weekend enjoying the warm weather. The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival has been underway for a week, and the stars are continuing to shine. This year at the festival, Salma Hayek wore a wrap-around braid, Angelina did a one-sided, half-up hairdo, and Natalie Portman went with a curly updo. But that's just the hair. I'm also curious about what's happening in the makeup realm, and that's exactly the question I posed to you last week: What beauty items would you rock on the red carpet?
Team member musewings picked one of the more obvious choices, but who can disagree that the Nars Multiple ($37) in color Cannes isn't an appropriate choice? Musewings said she'd rub the rosy bronze shade lightly "over [her] cheeks for a subtle glow." She sounds Cannes-ready to me.
