The Great Weekend Debate: What's the Best Nail Polish Shade For Summer?

Some people swear by creamsicle, others are obsessed with fuchsia, and a few even count aquamarine or puce among their favorites.

Some people swear by creamsicle, others are obsessed with fuchsia, and a few even count aquamarine or puce among their favorites. There are even those who have regimented toe and nail color coordinates for sandal season. When it comes to warm-weather nail polish shades, everybody has an opinion.

And why shouldn't they? We all have different undertones and preferences, and there's so much nail polish in the world that even the most dedicated nailphile can't have tried even a fraction of the shades out there.

So here's the question: what's your all-time favorite Summer polish shade or shades? Answer in the comments, say why it's so great, and we'll try and come to a consensus (or at least get some really awesome nail polish recommendations).

What's Your Favorite Lash-Enhancing Trick?

When I want my eyes to look extra dramatic, I always take the mascara wand and tilt it outward as I apply so that my lashes slant out, creating a "fringe" effect.

When I want my eyes to look extra dramatic, I always take the mascara wand and tilt it outward as I apply so that my lashes slant out, creating a "fringe" effect. It's just a little trick, but it makes a big difference for me. Another friend of mine swears by applying one coat of mascara, curling her lashes with a heated curler, and then applying a second coat for hold.

Talking with her about our favorite ways to maximize mascara, I realized that most of us probably have a mascara tip or two, and that if we pool our resources, we could come away with some serious (and seriously smart) lash-enhancing hints. So what little things do you do to get your lashes looking great? Respond in the comments, and then I'll put together an article with everyone's advice on Monday.

What's Your Favorite Eyeliner Trick?

One of the most useful eyeliner tricks I've ever learned I got from an interview with Lucy Liu.

One of the most useful eyeliner tricks I've ever learned I got from an interview with Lucy Liu. She said that when when she lines her eyes, she holds her pencil over a flame for a couple of seconds to soften it up and make it go on smoothly. I've been using it ever since, and it's made my life a lot easier (and my eyes a lot better defined). What's your favorite liner trick? Tell me about it in the comments, and I'll round up everyone's tips and feature them on BellaSugar.
