Birchbox and Gossip Girl Team Up

If you're a longstanding fan of Blair and Serena's misadventures (or at least their amazing hair and makeup), you're going to love the latest from Birchbox.

If you're a longstanding fan of Blair and Serena's misadventures (or at least their amazing hair and makeup), you're going to love the latest from Birchbox. Next month, to coincide with the show's season finale, the beauty sample delivery service is doing a special-edition Gossip Girl box for both new and current members. Curated by the series's makeup and hair gurus, Amy Tagliamonti and Jennifer Johnson, respectively, the box is full of posh goodies that would make anyone want to unlawfully impersonate a van der Woodsen. If you love testing out high-end beauty, this is the box for you. It's all the beauty benefits of being an Upper East Sider without the drama.

Psst, here's some gossip for you: While several different versions of the box will be sent out depending on subscriber beauty profiles, the Hamptons Beach Party-themed version will feature Color Club's Clambake Coral polish, among many other luxe delights.

Birchbox: The High-End Beauty-in-a-Box Sampler Kit

Have you heard of Birchbox?

Have you heard of Birchbox? It's the latest beauty products sampler-in-a-box that's been generating a whole lot of buzz — and with good reason. For $10 per month (or a one-time $110 payment for a full year), you can try out four to five larger-size high-end samples from brands such as NARS, Deborah Lippmann, Stila, Phyto, and Too Faced. There are even plenty of opportunities to earn points along with way.

Cofounder Katia Beauchamp put it best when she likened it to a mashup of fruit of the month-meets-Sephora-meets-Allure kind of experience. "My business partner Hayley Barna and I came up with the idea while we were still at school [Harvard Business School], specifically, December 2009. We had a successful beta while in school, graduated in May, and launched in September," Katia explained. Have you tried out Birchbox — or if you haven't, are you planning on it?
