Camellia flowers may be best known as the floral muse of Coco Chanel, but this flower's oil is currently making waves in the beauty arena.

Camellia flowers may be best known as the floral muse of Coco Chanel, but this flower's oil is currently making waves in the beauty arena. "Camellia oil, or tsubaki oil, has been popular in Japan for thousands of years as a cooking oil," explains Vicky Tsai, founder of skin care brand Tatcha. And over time this healthy cooking oil eventually made its way into Japanese women's beauty routines for their skin and hair. While this traditional moisturizer has been around for centuries in Japan, its beautifying benefits are just starting to gain popularity on a global scale. Learn why you should be giving it a try when you read more.

What We're Sweet On: A Body Moisturizer For Lotion Haters

If you aren't a fan of body lotion, or have dry skin that typically requires a full-on body cream, you might just want to give body oils a try.

If you aren't a fan of body lotion, or have dry skin that typically requires a full-on body cream, you might just want to give body oils a try. Victoria's Secret's Indulge Me Body Oil ($12) contains monoi, grape seed, and argan oils, which thoroughly moisturize sans the greasy feel. And if you apply this oil while wet, you'll get a glow that won't leave oil stains on the furniture. The touch of fragrance disappears after a while, too, so you won't be overwhelmed if you still want to spritz on your favorite perfume. Who said body oils are for Summer only?

The Surprisingly Easy Way to Banish Dry Spots on the Spot

The benefits of slathering oil on the face are numerous.

The benefits of slathering oil on the face are numerous. Not only do they help protect the skin, but they keep it hydrated and looking fresh and plumped up, too. While you won't want to drown yourself in oil before makeup application (doing so can cause your powders and creams to slip and slide), for those tricky rough patches that pop up occasionally, oils can save the day.

"Just saturate a cotton tip, buff the rough spot out, and blot," explains Clarins celebrity beauty artist Pati Dubroff. She recommends applying the brand's Body Treatment Oil in Relax ($54), which contains essential oils of marjoram, broom, and geranium, to calm the skin and smooth out dryness. While we all hit rough patches every now and then in life, at least this one falls into the easy-to-overcome genre.

The great thing about Twitter is that it gives us all a unique accessibility to celebrities.

The great thing about Twitter is that it gives us all a unique accessibility to celebrities. Take Dita Von Teese, for instance, who shared her favorite beauty items, from nail polish shades to lipstick to her bargain-buy foundation. Also known for her tweeting skills? Rachel Zoe, who brought us her warm-weathered nail polish pick in July. Since I'm a fan of the stylist's quirky personality and impeccable taste, I thought I'd give her Twitter page a look-see to discover what beauty items she's been using as of late — and just to make sure that she's not literally dying. To find out what bodycare items and nail polish shades she's been going bananas for, just read more.

Product Review: Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil

My mother-in-law just brought me back a bottle of this really cool Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil ($16) from her vacation in the Maldives.

My mother-in-law just brought me back a bottle of this really cool Hei Poa Aux Fleurs Tahitian Beauty Oil ($16) from her vacation in the Maldives. What's amazing about this product is that it really is all natural—something we rarely see in the States. Because of that, you have to keep it in the refrigerator after opening so it doesn't spoil.

The consistency of this oil is also unique. It changes properties in different temperatures meaning that when it's in the fridge it's a solid, and when it mixes with your body heat it becomes a liquid. It's an unbelievable body moisturizer and it also does wonders for restoring hydration to the ends of your hair.

The oil is made in Tahiti and the name, "Hei Poa," means red flowers - crown of the green valley. This is perfectly titled since the oil is made from Tahitian coconuts and at least ten fresh tiara flowers. One whiff of it and your mind can't help but to instantaneously wander to a perfect day at the beach.

To use, take a little scoop from the bottle and rub it all over your body. Keep in mind that just a little bit will go the distance to cover your whole body and once it liquefies it spreads quickly!

A whole bottle is going to last you for eons. You can equate it to that really large container of Vaseline that's been sitting in your parents medicine cabinet since childhood! I love this oil and I think you will too. I can't wait to hear your reviews!

Darphin Aromatic Bath and Body Products are Back

Once thought to be wiped out from the market entirely, this tried-and-true skin care trio has been resurrected from the dead.

Once thought to be wiped out from the market entirely, this tried-and-true skin care trio has been resurrected from the dead. A few years ago Darphin believed that it would be best to discontinue this old line and make room for the launch of new and improved bath and body products. However, they soon learned the error of their ways.

The masses (French women in particular) became increasingly disgruntled as their favorite products were less and less readily available. After the women resorted shopping on the gray market, and made incessant phone calls to corporate offices, Darphin realized that a re-introduction of their Aromatic Bath & Body Trio was imperative.

Since Darphin wouldn't dream of stopping production again, go for it and try 'em out. You'll be sure to fall in love with what French women have been depending on for years!
