Carmindy Gets Her Glow on With a New Deal

When you have your own line of cosmetics, amazingly clear skin, a makeup and beauty book, you're part of a successful show that's been on the air for eight years, and you have one of the most effervescent personalities around, what's your next logical step?

When you have your own line of cosmetics, amazingly clear skin, a makeup and beauty book, you're part of a successful show that's been on the air for eight years, and you have one of the most effervescent personalities around, what's your next logical step? For Carmindy Bowyer of TLC's What Not to Wear, it's a partnership with dietary supplement Glowelle.

"Women always ask me, 'How can I get that healthy-looking glow?' Well, the answer is start from within," she told WWD. While I wasn't such a fan of Nestlé's Glowelle ($28-$89), Carmindy says the results were good enough to make her ditch her bimonthly facials.

Have you tried Glowelle, or would you consider making the Carmindy-endorsed purchase?

Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen and Carmindy's Natural Beauty Collection

Remember back in early March when I told you that Sally Hansen was partnering with Carmindy Bowyer from What Not to Wear to create a makeup line called Natural Beauty?

Remember back in early March when I told you that Sally Hansen was partnering with Carmindy Bowyer from What Not to Wear to create a makeup line called Natural Beauty? Well, it has finally launched and I've just had the chance to check out the goods. The collection includes 16 items ranging from cream bronzers to lip glosses. The products are light in texture and rich in pigment. If I had to rate their blendability, I'd give them a seven on a scale of one to 10.

My favorite products include the powder bronzers, the cream and powder blushes, and the liquid eyeliner. Everything is paraben-free and full of natural, gentle, and healthy ingredients such as soy, bamboo, and fruit. For details and prices on each of the 16 items, read more

Beauty Byte: Sally Hansen Is Back to Making Makeup

Sally Hansen has partnered with TLC's What Not to Wear makeup maven Carmindy Bowyer to launch a new cosmetics collection called Natural Beauty.

Sally Hansen has partnered with TLC's What Not to Wear makeup maven Carmindy Bowyer to launch a new cosmetics collection called Natural Beauty. According to WWD, the 140-unit line is expected to hit stores next month. This is Hansen's second attempt at manufacturing makeup; in 2003, the company created a line called Healing Beauty, but it didn't take off.

Keeping in the trend for eco-friendly makeup, the paraben-free formulas include minerals and extracts of soy, bamboo, papaya, and mango. What's more, the line ($7.95–$12.95) will launch with a website that features video styling tips from Carmindy — so if you like your makeup natural, but applying it doesn't come naturally, you'll have a little help.
