Let's face it: your feet aren't the most glamorous part of your beauty routine, but they deserve just as much attention as the rest of your body (and we're talking more than your standing pedicure appointment). Clarisonic recently released a new brush kit, the Pedi Sonic Foot Transformation System ($199), just for your feet. (Editor's note: the pedicure brush set was sent to us by Clarisonic for review.) The brand's star product, its rotating facial cleansing brush, is already a must have among celebrities and beauty editors, so see why you'll want to get your hands on this pedicure-perfecting tool.
Inspired by her love of film, music, fashion, and the arts, Erin Dudley moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue a career in makeup. It was in LA where she began working for Fred Segal Beauty and became head makeup artist for the salon and spa. Countless celebrity clients later, Erin continues her work as a prominent makeup artist — now for NARS cosmetics in San Francisco. Peep some of her absolute must-have beauty products below.
It never fails: every time I come back from vacation, a breakout hits. It's impossible to pinpoint the exact culprit, but it could be caused by slacking on the regular beauty regimen, sweating in the sun, or enjoying too many indulgences. If you're in a similar situation, you can quickly dry up pimples before you return to the office on Monday with the help of Clarisonic's Detoxifying Clay Mask ($27).
Aloe helps calm irritated skin and chamomile gives the mask the scent of a spa facial. Kaolin and bentonite clay work together to decongest pores, while alpha hydroxy acids exfoliate. If you have a Clarisonic cleansing brush, you can use it to remove the mask. However, hands and warm water can do the job just as well. This clay mask is also my go-to if a photo opp is near to ensure I'm close-up-ready (even in HD).
If you don't already own a Clarisonic brush, chances are you've heard of the wonders it does for your skin. But are you using it correctly? If you need to know what brush head to attach, how to adjust your settings, or whether or not you should use it to remove makeup, we have you covered. We even have a unique trick to getting into those delicate, hard-to-reach places on your face. Plus, we'll teach you exactly how to clean it in our comprehensive Clarisonic guide. Since I've made 2013 the year that I finally clear up my skin, I've pulled out all the stops when it comes to my face washing regimen, including joining the Clarisonic cult. But the brush head is where all the magic happens, and Clarisonic's Acne Cleansing Brush Head ($25) might very well be a miracle worker. The velvet-smooth bristles slough off dead skin cells, and the sonic movements work to release clogged pores, leaving you with a face that's smoother, clearer, and more receptive to your acne medication. Almost immediately my skin was noticeably clearer, and when I do break out, you better believe those suckers clear up in two days or less. Acne sufferers, you'll want to start sipping this Kool-Aid.
