Loeffler Randall Fall 2008 Shoe Obsession

We know Loeffler Randall makes really beautiful clothing and handbags now but we can't seem to stop obsessing over the shoes. Last night, we went to a Pas de Deux press preview and when we realized we were standing in front of the ankle boots (top left) we've been eyeing for months--we nearly lost our concentration completely. Literally, it was all we could do not to pick them up and ask to try them on in our size. More on the loveliness of Pas de Deux later, for now, check out the entire Fall 2008 Loeffler Randall look book right here.

Above, our picks of the best of what's up there but, please, shop for yourself because almost all of Fall is on sale. Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2008 Deliveries: Black & White

All this sample sale talk frankly has us overwhelmed and so we've decided to take a moment to appreciate a man who makes it all look like black and white. Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2009 might be a bit more lively in the color department but for Fall, only a shot of orange and a glimpse of blue, made its way into the collection. What was left were a slew of chic basics for women who like to keep it simple. It's medicinal really, for times when there are just too many long lines and discounted options. While looks from straight off the runways are not necessarily meant to be taken literally, I like to incorporate bit of high fashion here and there to enhance my style — particularly on my fingernails.
Each day this week we've been giving away awesome prizes from Yves St. Laurent's beauty line, and that's got me all excited about their fashion lineup. Drawn from YSL's Fall 2008 show, I've got some great nail polish color suggestions so that you can include elements of this minimal, futuristic look into your routine. Take a gander at my widget below for some ideas and check out more of my runway-inspired choices from Karen Walker and Givenchy.

Don The Verb Fall 08, Spring 09, & Vintage

While we usually try to keep our focus on one season, we're kind of loving the whole Don The Verb package right now. From the Fall 08 look book shot YSL-style, to the delivery (and popularity) of the collection a la OAK, to their side business of selling amazing designer vintage pieces, to the new, light-as-air Lower East Side-inspired Spring 2009 collection--we think the entire Don The Verb enterprise is touching on something New York chictsers will respond positively to...and if we're right, queue stylists pushing the clothing into magazine editorials, street style credits like mad, and, finally, an Urban Outfitters or Target collaboration that will take Don The Verb beoynd, well, New York.
