It's increasingly difficult not to love Victoria Beckham. Past that steely faced facade, she's quite funny — and it's clear that although she enjoys living large, she doesn't take herself too seriously. Plus, even though she always looks wealthy, she doesn't always spend like crazy to do so. Case in point: While in New York earlier this month, she stepped out in a dress of her own creation . . . and a Goody headband ($4). The headbands are available to match blond, red, black, and brown hair — and their simplicity makes them go with everything from a t-shirt and jeans. Copper bracelets are supposedly great for arthritis and joint pain, but can a copper brush help cure dandruff? My sister, who has long suffered from this condition, wanted to find out. While I was scoping out the hair accessories aisle, she came across the Goody Styling Therapy Reduce+Dandruff Paddle Brush ($13). "Do you think this will work?" she asked with a tinge of apprehension.

Scientists now believe that dandruff is caused from the fungus malassezia, a pesky little microbe that lives on all of our scalps. While some people aren't affected by the critters, others are, with an itchy, flaky, and oily scalp often resulting. I'm really liking the fall hair accessories from Goody. The Haute Society collection fits in perfectly with the ladylike fashions of the upcoming season, but they're not nearly as expensive as they look. The clips, headbands, and barrettes have a rich look without high price tags—everything is less than ten dollars, and it's available only at Target.

The shapes are fairly traditional, but they've been updated with deep textures and colors. For instance, hair elastics are done in metallics, and headbands are wrapped with satin.
