In today's flashback-to-the-1990s news, Jane Cosmetics is relaunching this month. The makeup brand you used to love in your teenage days has been rebranded, repackaged, and revamped. Now, though, the packaging features real women who are helping with charitable projects in their communities. The new line has over 100 pieces, ranging in price from $6 to $20, and the shades are still as vibrant as we remember. This is the perfect excuse to start wearing bold shades like lilac and kelly-green again. Shop all the products online, or see it in the flesh at Ulta stores starting Aug. 18. Now if only we could get Jane magazine back in stores . . .
After filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy back in 2009, drugstore beauty brand Jane Cosmetics is set to relaunch in the new year. After its acquisition by Patriarch Partners, Jane will release a line of everything from lip gloss to makeup palettes, with prices ranging from $6 to $10. Products will be available online starting in January and in stores in March, according to WWD.
But the biggest change to Jane Cosmetics is the philanthropy that comes with three of its lip glosses in the Friends of Jane Lip Collection. The brand is striving to perpetuate female camaraderie through its Friends of Jane network, which hopes to connect women who share a love of beauty, fashion, and charity. All the proceeds from the lip glosses will go to the various charities Jane has partnered with. So now beauty lovers everywhere can get a healthy dose of charity along with their nostalgia for the Jane of yesteryear. And there's nothing to hate about that.
