Mattene

I've been eagerly anticipating MAC's newest lipstick, Mattene ($14.50), for months. I'd heard that the texture was going to be close to matte, but not flat-matte, so it could be a nice alternative to a glossy, shiny lip.

I've checked out seven of the 16 Mattene colors, and I can happily say that my high hopes were justified. I put it on in Classic Dame, a blood red, and a bunch of the Sugar girls complimented me right away.
