Whose Oscars Hairstyle Was Best?
At the Oscars, hairstyles ranged from classic to cutting-edge. Of these women, whose style did you like most?
Oscars Beauty: Hairstyles From the Back
We're so used to seeing photos of stars from the front, we neglect to mention what's going on in the back. We're talking updos, and on Oscars night, there were plenty to inspire. Some stars chose simple chignons, while others brought in real gems. Check out what I mean now.
Oscars Trend Alert: Retro Updos
Whether it was Mo'Nique taking a page out of Billie Holiday's book with white roses in her hair, Nicole Richie looking perfectly mod, or Diane Kruger accenting her Andrews Sisters-esque hair with a delicate barrette, retro updos were all over the Oscars red carpet. Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Amanda Seyfried also went vintage when it came to their hair, and with this many stars following the trend, it's a sure bet that throwback hair wasn't just a fluke. Are you excited for a 2010 full of modern takes on old-fashioned hairstyles, or will you be leaving this trend in the history books?
2010 Oscars: Mo'Nique
Mo'Nique walked the red carpet looking great from head to toe. An Oscar nomination, a loving man by your side, and an impressive hairstyle will do that, no? As for her makeup, she chose her usual palette of warm-toned shades. What do you think of Mo'Nique's red carpet style? Two thumbs up?

2010 Independent Spirit Awards: Mo'Nique
She's won just about every award possible for her role in Precious, but will Mo'Nique take home another statue tonight, too? That remains to be seen, but in the meantime, let's talk beauty. The comedienne and actress keeps her makeup palette on the warm side tonight, and her long lashes give the look plenty of drama. A sleek, high-slung pony provides a sophisticated finish. Are you awarding this talented woman with a "love it" click, or are you just not feeling her look tonight?

2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Mo'Nique
For the Golden Globes, Mo'Nique wore warm, chocolate-brown tones For the SAGs, she's sticking to a similar theme. This time around, she opts for a less dramatic makeup look, all pulled together with a voluminous, flippy coiffure. Are you a fan of her natural, sophisticated style?

Mo'Nique Goes Unshaven. What Do You Think?
I missed this on Sunday, but apparently Mo'Nique attended the Golden Globes with hairy legs. I know, breaking news, right? Actually, one paper thinks it is: a Daily News writer barely tries to conceal her horror in discussing the actress's leg hair. Mo'Nique, she writes, "forgot to take care of a little beauty matter before the awards — shaving her legs. And if she was at all embarrassed by her shaggy state, she didn't show it."
Pardon me while I facepalm. It's just leg hair, which is so not a big deal in my book. It bums me out that instead of focusing on the 14 awards Mo'Nique has won for her performance in Precious, someone's trying to shame her for kicking the Bic. Do you care one way or another if an actress shaves?
2010 Golden Globe Awards: Mo'Nique
Congratulations to Mo'Nique, who shined with that well-earned Golden Globe in her hand this evening. Mo'Nique went with the red carpet hairstyle she usually favors, a sleek bun. Tonight she switched up her makeup a little, wearing a pretty plum-chocolate lipstick and fawn eye shadow that stood out in a sea of pink lips and white shadow. What do you think? Did you love its low-key sophistication, or do you wish Mo'Nique had worn colors to match her bright personality?
