The Organic Makeup Company is a brand that has been brought to my attention by none other than FitSugar! This brand is comprised of all natural products that contain no synthetic, petroleum or animal based ingredients.

All items are made from earthly ingredients, they are fairly priced and they won't harm your liver. I've learned that almost 60% of what goes onto your skin absorbs into your blood vessels where it is processed by the liver...Ew, who knew!

The cosmetics line consists of: concealer, face powder, eye shadow, foundation, lipstick, lip gloss, makeup remover and mascara.

Serge Lutens, 65, former French stylist, make-up artist, photographer, perfumer, coiffeur and costumier has come out with a makeup line called Serge Lutens Cosmetics.

His long and interesting early career as a beauty stylist and makeup artist for high fashion magazine shoots led him to a 12 year stint at Dior where he was asked to create a high end makeup line. His bold color choices really put him on the map as a risk taker - a very successful one!

His next venture was 27 years ago in 1980, when he became Image Director at Shiseido. There, he has developed their cosmetics and fragrance lines. Serge Lutens Cosmetics is only available in the US at Barneys (so far).

The idea behind Jouer Cosmetics, (pronounced joo-ay) is that every woman should be able to customize her own palette. Each of the colors are sold separately, but can click together sideways and back-to-back to collaborate your favorite colors du jour.

You can put together eight colors for a vacation or you can snap just two together for a night out. Jouer in french, appropriately means "to play" and this is exactly what founder and ex model Christina Zilber had in mind when creating this design.

There are also several fun and inventive kits as well as a super cute pink suede cosmetic bag.

Some people are just born overachievers. Case in point, Jay Manuel.
