I just started using this conditioner (along with the matching shampoo) this week. My hair has serious volume issues, but I also dye it red, so it's really important that I use products for color-treated hair. I was stoked when I saw the commercial for these products, and so far I am pleased with the results. The scent is also pleasant and not overwhelming like some other products I have used.

Even though Nexxus uses descriptions like "Maxximum" and "super hold," which conjure visions of helmet head, this fine mist spray provides a really touchable hold with lots of shine. It doesn't flake if you need to brush through it for a style refresh during the day, and it doesn't build up. Very nice.

Determined to protect my hair against heat styling, I picked up Nexxus Sleek Memory Straightening Smoothing Spray ($12.99). When just a heat protectant spray would have done, I'm always curious about hair products that say they can change the texture of your hair (not products like at-home perms, but products like Wash 'N Curl Shampoo). But the claim Nexxus makes on this spray seems semi-plausible: their Sleek Memory technology can lock in the results of a heat styling tool. Whether that's true remains to be seen, but my hair definitely made it through a run-in with my flat iron without static. The downside is that my hair had a somewhat starchy feeling afterwards, which I suppose is better than being fried to the core. Can't win 'em all.
