Orange lipstick has been all over the runways for the last three seasons, and women like designer Rachel Roy have taken it into real life with stunning results. There's a shade of orange that will work well for almost anyone, but finding it can be tricky and expensive. So I've put together three straightforward tips for finding a shade that looks pretty and bright without being harsh or garish. Want to see? Then just keep reading.
How to Get Jayma Mays's Golden Globes Look

According to last night's polling, many of you were not loving Jayma Mays's beauty look. Ouch. Orange lipstick is trendy right now, however, and for those of you who are looking for a hot style, this how-to's for you. Created by celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson, the inspiration behind Jayma's look was a modern-retro feel.
To try the palette yourself, start with CoverGirl's NatureLuxe Silk Foundation ($12). Create a smoky eye by using dark brown shadows, black liner, and plenty of dark mascara. And for that sexy bright pop of orange-red color on the lips, use a sharp lip brush to apply the brand's Lip Perfection lipstick in Flame ($6).
Chloe Sevigny Swims With the Fishes (and Orange Lipstick)
Chloe Sevigny apparently doesn't take compliments well, so she might not like what I'm about to say: she looked fresh and cute while taking a recent dip in the ocean. (Anyone else see a vague Madonna-as-shot-by-Herb Ritts thing here?) Wearing makeup while swimming is impractical, but orangey-red lipstick can brighten landlubbers' faces just as nice. Get the look by wearing a creamy opaque color such as Milani lipstick ($5) in Mango Mambo. Pair it with oversize shades and a smile, and try not to wince when the flattery rolls in.
Get Ciara's Haute Lipstick
Ciara looked amazing last night at the Givenchy Haute Couture show, and I absolutely love her orange-red lipstick. After seeing an even brighter orange on Melanie Laurent yesterday, I'd also say that orange is definitely having a moment.

Trend Alert: Burnt Orange Lips
Orange is making a big comeback for spring, but we are already seeing signs of it from fashion-forward Bella Donnas.
Orange gives off a more energetic vibe (notice it's the theme color for FitSugar) than red lipstick and is much softer than deep purple shades. However, it is still sexy and equally as daring and dangerous.
This lip looks best if kept matte with a strong brow, dark eye lashes and a nude face. Check out Kate Moss in London earlier this week sporting a juicy orange lip.
Here are two bold, beautiful burnt-orange lipsticks. Do you think this a trend that you'd be willing to try?
Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick in Peche Fougueuse ($27) is a deep golden, red-orange shade of creamy lipstick. KissKiss provides radiant color as well as moisture all day long. And isn't the shiny gold packaging gorgeous?
