Reader Review of the Day: Estée Lauder Foundation Brush

Zoot alors! My favorite foundation brush recently bit the dust.

Zoot alors! My favorite foundation brush recently bit the dust. After searching through the Product Reviews pages, I think I might just have to give Estée Lauder Foundation Brush 1F ($30) a try. Reader brandysbug had nothing but positive things to say about this makeup brush, and here's why:

When I purchased this brush, it was a huge splurge for me. I just don't usually drop $30 on something like a brush, but I was pregnant, having major acne problems, was totally into the Estée Lauder Resilience Lift makeup line, and the saleslady talked me right into it. For liquid foundation, this is absolutely a wonderful brush. It helps to get the most from your bottle as it provides better coverage with less makeup than possible with other methods (sponge/fingers). This brush definitely helped me out covering up some very bad acne. It provided the full coverage I needed without piling too much makeup on. The results of using this brush with liquid foundation were astounding. My face almost looked airbrushed. I would recommend this to anyone who is considering buying a new foundation brush. It's worth the $30.

Neutrogena

Reader Review of the Day: Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub

Got bacne? Don't worry, you're not the only one.
Neutrogena at ShopStyle

Got bacne? Don't worry, you're not the only one. Reader bengalspice found something that works to keep the back pimples at bay. Here's her review of Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub:

I bought this for my boyfriend three years ago when we started dating because he had really gross bacne. No, really. I mean really gross bacne. I would use this to scrub his back because he had no clue how bad it was back there. Within a month his back was SPOTLESS! He's been using this less frequently since then, and the bacne hasn't come back. He also likes how the grit feels when he massages it into his shoulders. It smells really good, too. I also use this when I have acne spring up during the winter, when I tend to wear stuff that irritates my skin.

Are you in the market for a new body wash — especially one that's great for both seasonally and naturally dry skin?

Are you in the market for a new body wash — especially one that's great for both seasonally and naturally dry skin? Perhaps you should take a piece of advice from reader stef42678, who recently reviewed ($20). Here's what she has to say about this new product:

I really love this cleanser. It foams up well with a great creamy lather, and it really moisturizes my skin. It doesn't leave a thick residue or oily skin and it makes my skin relaxed and hydrated.

Flat Iron

Reader Review of the Day: Remington T/Studio Ceramic Digital Flat Iron

When it comes to flat irons, sometimes you score big with an amazing bargain, while other times, the deal fizzles out flat.

When it comes to flat irons, sometimes you score big with an amazing bargain, while other times, the deal fizzles out flat. Reader kayecouture tried out Remington T/Studio Ceramic Digital Flat Iron ($40) and got burned. Here's why:

This flat iron is a piece of crap. It doesn't get that hot, and it has arrows to push to control the temperature, but the temperature always jumps down without you pushing the button. Do not buy.

Does your flat iron excel, or would you rather find a place for it in the trash? Tell us your opinions on the Product Reviews pages. There are more than 50,000 products from which to choose, so there's bound to be something you'll want to share with all of us.

Foundation

Reader Review of the Day: CoverGirl Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup

We all know that finding the right foundation is a process.

We all know that finding the right foundation is a process. Recently reader smesarchik reviewed CoverGirl Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup ($12), praising it for its light coverage and low cost. Here's what else she had to say about this liquid foundation:

It is extremely soft to the touch — almost like velvet. The coverage is light-to-medium depending on how you apply. It smells wonderful and doesn't break my skin out at all. I have dry skin and it makes my face look flawless. I definitely recommend it for someone who doesn't need or want full coverage.

Lipstick

Reader Review of the Day: Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer

You all know how much I love a good Chanel lip gloss, but I hadn't tried Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer ($32), so I was excited to see that reader gooz1231 had.

You all know how much I love a good Chanel lip gloss, but I hadn't tried Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer ($32), so I was excited to see that reader gooz1231 had. Her review, though, makes me want to head down to the store and try one right now. She says:

"This lip product from Chanel (think a hybrid between a lipstick and gloss) is absolutely amazing. It is moisturizing and highly pigmented with a nice gloss. In addition, it wears pretty well. While at $32 it is a little pricey, the quality is unlike any other lip product I've tried, both high-end and low-end. I highly recommend this and suggest anyone to splurge on one of these babies."

Reader Review

Reader Review of the Day: Korres Lemon Lip Scrub

I really love Korres watermelon products, but I hadn't heard much about the line's Lemon Lip Scrub ($19).

I really love Korres watermelon products, but I hadn't heard much about the line's Lemon Lip Scrub ($19). The price is a little steep for a person who loses lip stuff all the time like I do, but reader laratf makes it sound so good that I might just have to try it anyway. She says:

"The most effective lip treatment I've found. It’s 100 percent natural, and also super easy to use: Just apply (I love that it’s a stick and that there’s nothing to slough on with your finger), rub lips together to break up dry, chapped skin, and tissue off. The rice powder resurfaces lips better than sugar or salt, in my opinion. Good scuff!"

Anti-Frizz

Reader Review of the Day: Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Treatment

Living Proof's Straight Making No Frizz Styling Treatment for Thick to Coarse Hair ($24) is one of the newest frizz-fighters on the market, and it promises everything from a humidity barrier to the ability to repel dirt and oil so that you can go longer between shampoos.

Living Proof's Straight Making No Frizz Styling Treatment for Thick to Coarse Hair ($24) is one of the newest frizz-fighters on the market, and it promises everything from a humidity barrier to the ability to repel dirt and oil so that you can go longer between shampoos. Reader sabriel2 finds that it does deliver in some areas, but still gives it mixed reviews. She says:

I have long, thick, dry hair, so I was pleased with the amount of straightening and control I got when I heat-styled after using this. The only thing is that it left my hair feeling lackluster, kind of "gummy" to the touch, and hard to style — and I hadn't even used that much. The next day, the product buildup was even more nasty. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who doesn't wash their hair every day, but it does straighten fairly well.

Makeup

Reader Review of the Day: L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Makeup

L'Oreal is always coming out with new products for its Infallible line, and while I'm not sure if L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Makeup ($13) would be good for my skin type, reader ohmarie has had a great experience with it on her oily skin.

L'Oreal is always coming out with new products for its Infallible line, and while I'm not sure if L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Makeup ($13) would be good for my skin type, reader ohmarie has had a great experience with it on her oily skin. She says:

"I have very oily skin, and this stuff works so well. It gives me great coverage, and I don't even need concealer. I do touch up at least once per day, but it really does last a long time. The only negative I have about this product is the container: the little spout gets clogged pretty easily, and it's a pain to try and clean. Also, you do have to work fast with this liquid, as it dries quickly. Overall, great product, great price."

Shampoo

Reader Review of the Day: L'Oreal Hair Expertise Ever Pure Smooth Shampoo

It's hard to keep up with all the "green" products on the market right now, so I haven't had the chance to try L'Oreal Hair Expertise Ever Pure Smooth Shampoo ($7).

It's hard to keep up with all the "green" products on the market right now, so I haven't had the chance to try L'Oreal Hair Expertise Ever Pure Smooth Shampoo ($7). It's supposed to be gentle and sulfate-free, and although those are both good things, that doesn't mean that it's the right one for you. Reader xholdxmexunderx took it for a test-drive and wasn't terribly impressed, saying:

"I got this after dying my hair dark, and it didn't rinse out my color like most other shampoos do. However, I couldn't get pass the smell of it — a weird herbal scent — and it did not do a good job of actually cleaning the product out of my hair."
