Cynthia Rowley Grabs Attention With New Beauty Tools

When everyday beauty products get designer makeovers, it's worth taking a second look, as is the case with the Cynthia Rowley for Tweezerman line.

When everyday beauty products get designer makeovers, it's worth taking a second look, as is the case with the Cynthia Rowley for Tweezerman line. The limited-edition collection features sporty, colorfully graphic prints created by Rowley: a minislant tweezer ($15), slanted tweezers in light blue or cobalt blue ($25 each), and a nail file in signature red ($5).

This isn't the first time we've seen Tweezerman products get a high-end makeover. In 2010, Betsey Johnson linked up with Tweezerman, and last year, it was Gwen Stefani's turn with her Harajuku Lovers collaboration. And even Rowley herself has added her magic design touch to some common beauty items, including the chicest Band-Aids you've probably ever seen, along with a colorful Amika flat iron. Grab Rowley's Tweezerman lineup in Sephora on July 19.

Harajuku Lovers Is Getting Its Own Tweezers Now

If you're a fan of Harajuku Lovers and its adorable little dolls, here's another addition for your collection.

If you're a fan of Harajuku Lovers and its adorable little dolls, here's another addition for your collection. Next month, Tweezerman will release a whole line of Harajuku products, including tiny files ($4), a compact mirror ($10), minislanted tweezers ($15), and full-sized slant tweezers ($25). Tweezerman is known for releasing designer grooming tools (it also recently did a Betsey Johnson collection, and its various patterned and themed nail care collections are legion), so it's not surprising that Gwen Stefani's much-loved brand is getting some of its own. Will you be buying these guys when they hit the shelves at (exclusively) Sephora?

Doing Drugstore: Revlon Brow Specialist Kit

Last week, I met up with eyebrow guru Anastasia Soare, and ever since then, I've been paying extra special attention to the brow area — or lack thereof.

Last week, I met up with eyebrow guru Anastasia Soare, and ever since then, I've been paying extra special attention to the brow area — or lack thereof. More tips from Anastasia to come, but in the meantime, after passing by this Revlon Brow Specialist Kit ($9) at Walgreens over the weekend, I couldn't resist. My makeup area at home is getting a little cluttered these days, so anything that is compact, compartmentalized, and brow-related captures my attention. To see what I thought of this mini-kit, just read more.

Reader Review of the Day: Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezers

Sometimes readers don't agree with what I think, and that's why our Reader Reviews section is so invaluable.

Sometimes readers don't agree with what I think, and that's why our Reader Reviews section is so invaluable. Take Sabisf, for instance. While I loved Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezers ($28), she wasn't as pleased. Here's what she had to say:

When I first got these they worked great, but quickly lost their sharpness. After a few months they did not work at all. At the price they should last a lot longer. I went back to Tweezerman and I'm very happy. Anastasia has some other nice products, though.

Reader Review of the Day: Revlon Splinter Tweezer

I'm all for getting back to the basics — particularly when it saves a buck or 20.

I'm all for getting back to the basics — particularly when it saves a buck or 20. That's why reader Jenzene likes Revlon's Splinter Tweezer ($3) so much, declaring, "Forget Tweezerman!" Here's what else she has to say:

Why drop $12 on a tweezer when you can get this for $3 to $4? I have had this little baby for six years and it has never let me down! It grips every hair firmly, and the point is rounded, not sharp.
