Get Ashley Greene's Pretty People's Choice Makeup Look

When it comes to pretty, polished makeup looks, Ashley Greene should win an award for perfect shade pairings.

When it comes to pretty, polished makeup looks, Ashley Greene should win an award for perfect shade pairings. At the People's Choice Awards, for instance, the Twilight star looked absolutely radiant coupling bronze eye makeup and subtly stained red lips. Vanessa Scali, who created the look, shares tips on how you can get the style at home, using products from Mark (for which Ashley is an ambassador):

Eyes: "Ashley wanted a hint of smolder in the eyes but didn't want anything dark or overdone," explained Scali. To accomplish that feel, Scali started by applying the brand's I-Mark Metallics Custom Pick shadow in Truffle on Ashley's lid and under the bottom lashes, blending for a sheer effect at the crease, and extending it outward to elongate. She then applied brown and black liners for a "feline resemblance."

Cheeks and lips: Then, to bring it all together, Scali used Just Pinched blush in Peachy on the apples of Ashley's cheeks. And for that lightly stained finish, Scali used a lipstick. "I applied Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Cha Cha to the center of Ashley's lips, gently pressing the color in and blending outward toward the edge, giving the lips a pop of color but keeping the line soft and easy," she said.

For Christina Hendricks's makeup, Nars makeup artist Vanessa Scali used Desire Blush ($26) on her cheeks, Calanque Trio Eyeshadow and Hollywoodland Soft Touch Shadow Pencil, which are coming out this month, on her eyes. On her lips: Vesuvio Pure Matte Lipstick ($25).

For her hair, Sebastian Professional stylist Jen Atkin applied Mousse Forte ($12) at her roots on damp hair, then blow-dried her hair 75 percent dry. She then curled the ends under using a round brush, sprayed Shaper Zero Gravity Hairspray ($16) all over, and brushed it thru to create a base to hold the waves. Using a one-inch curling iron, she curled pieces in a clockwise direction and pinned the curls. Once the curls set, she let them cool for 15 minutes, then unpinned and brushed out the curls. To finish, she set Christina's part and stretched out her bangs using a flat iron to get a smoother look toward the front.

How to Wear Shimmer Without Looking Like a Disco Ball

You probably already have a bevy of black eyeliners in your makeup stash, and you probably have at least one light and shimmery champagne eye shadow.

You probably already have a bevy of black eyeliners in your makeup stash, and you probably have at least one light and shimmery champagne eye shadow. That's all you need to re-create the eye makeup look that Ashley Greene wore last night at the Eclipse premiere.

Vanessa Scali, the makeup artist behind Ashley's red carpet look, said, "We wanted to create a soft, glowing goddess look to complement her beautiful Alexis Mabille Couture dress. The overall look was golden skin, soft blushed cheeks, champagne shimmer and a softly lined eye."

  1. Getting that glistening eye is simple. First, start out by applying a champagne shadow all over the eyelids and just under the bottom lashes. Scali used I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Nomadic ($5).
  2. Then, line the upper eyelids using a waterproof gel-based liner. Scali used the black portion of the brand's Keep It Going Eyeliner and Shadow in Entourage ($10).
  3. For a dramatic finish to provide lots of depth, add a metallic shade of black liquid liner on just the very base of the lashes. Scali used Get in Line Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black ($6). And that's the way you do shimmer without going overboard.
