New Bronzers You Need For an Instant Summer Glow

What is it about a bronze glow that instantly enhances one's mood?

What is it about a bronze glow that instantly enhances one's mood? Maybe it's a reminder of an amazing tropical vacation (hello, piña colada!) or perhaps it's that it makes us feel a little more confident. We won't preach to you about the harmful effects of UV rays, or that you should always wear an SPF 30 or higher, but we will encourage you to try these new bronzer launches, out just in time for a natural-looking Summer glow sans the harmful side effects. There's something for everyone: a powder, a cream, and one that's great for contouring, too. Just remember to start off light-handed when applying your bronzer and then build as needed.

Mascara

The Mascara Equivalent of Optimus Prime

Are you endlessly delighted with dial-a-lash type mascaras, rotating wands, vibrating brushes, and other novelty eyelash-enhancing miscellany?

Are you endlessly delighted with dial-a-lash type mascaras, rotating wands, vibrating brushes, and other novelty eyelash-enhancing miscellany? Then you should be delighted about the latest in mascara technology: Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara ($22).

"And why should I be making a run on Sephora for this stuff?" you may be asking. Because it transforms. That's right, the wand on this new product gets longer or shorter with a twist of the cap. I tested the wand at different lengths so you can see whether it really does make a difference, so to see the expandable brush in action, just keep reading.

When it comes to sexy eye makeup, the smoky eye is one of the most wanted looks around. And when a brand comes out with a product that's supposed to make it easier, well, there's bound to be interest. Eye Shadow

We Love, Love, Love This Eye Shadow. (Love!)

I've fallen in love .

I've fallen in love . . . with a dog. Actually, with 10 of them: Pug, Poodle, Black Lab, and seven more canine names that grace the new Buxom Stay-There eye shadows ($17). Ever since taking a sneak peek at these about a month ago, I've been gushing about them like an eye shadow evangelist. Here's why:

  1. The bouncy texture is unlike anything else I've tried. It's soft, spongy, and springy — not dry, not too moist.
  2. The color builds evenly. Apply it with your fingers for a more sheer wash of color, or use a brush for more intensity.
  3. The formula is paraben-free, if you're looking out for that sort of thing.
  4. It's lightweight, which is perfect when the weather is hot and humid.
  5. This stuff really does stay put. No budging, no creasing, and it's waterproof, too.

So, yeah. Kind of obsessed. Plus, I love that Bare Escentuals is donating $20,000 to Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit that matches free assistance dogs to people with disabilities. These shadows have just launched at Sephora, so if you try them, let me know if you're as smitten. I think you will be.
