Kiehl's has just released its highly anticipated Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser ($28.50 for 8.4 oz). The gentle, soap-free formula has been especially created for sensitive skin. The latest addition to the Kiehl's Dermatologist Solutions line, it contains potent formulas that have been developed and evaluated by dermatologists.

It is made with aloe (to soothe and comfort skin) chamomile extract (to calm skin), and centella asiatica (tiger herb), an ingredient known for its recovery properties. It also helps skin retain moisture and it removes makeup and dirt without causing common irritations known to sensitive skin such as burning, stinging, itching and tightness. It can be used with or without water in the mornings and evenings and is free of alcohol, fragrance and dyes. I can't wait to try it!

Product Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

Something I've noticed about the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skin Care brand is that whenever it's mentioned, the first thing people talk about is its Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.

Something I've noticed about the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skin Care brand is that whenever it's mentioned, the first thing people talk about is its Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Apparently I'm the only one who hasn't heard of this cult favorite, so as soon as I got the chance to skip out of the house, I went to pick some up.

It has been awarded many times including InStyle's 2007 Winner for Best Beauty Buys. Supermodels, socialites and beauty addicts alike are addicted to this creamy, soothing, almond milk cleanser that brightens and soothes all types of skin.

What makes it so incredible is the combination of the formula and the hot muslin cloth that you use along with the product. It gently wipes away all traces of makeup (even stubborn mascara) and because the cloth is gridded, it also works to exfoliate or "polish" the skin. The result is a hydrated and springy feeling as opposed to a dry tight feeling caused by many leading cleansers.

It is made from natural ingredients such as chamomile, hops, rosemary, panthenol, glycerin, beeswax, and eucalyptus oil to disinfect as well as soften and pamper the skin (the smell is amazing too). To use, just massage the cream over a dry face and neck, before removing with the hot, damp cloth. Finish with a final rinse of cold water to help tighten pores.

Cleanse & Polish is available in a 3.3 oz pump for $20 or in a 6.7 oz pump for $37.

Vitamin C Skin Care Part V: Facial Cleansers

Welcome to the final installment in my five-part series about vitamin C skin care products.

Welcome to the final installment in my five-part series about vitamin C skin care products. Today we're talking about cleansers. Facial cleansers that contain high concentrations of vitamin C are jam-packed with antioxidants that help fight signs of aging. They also leave skin looking refreshed, calm and brilliant. Here are three of my top picks.

N.V. Perricone M.D. Vitamin C Ester Citrus Facial Wash ($30) is a gentle, non-detergent facial cleanser that nourishes, soothes and calms so that you don't wind up with red, blotchy, or uneven-looking skin.

It's suitable for all skin types but is best for those with normal to oily skin.

Doing Drugstore: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Talk with any beauty editor or dermatologist, and chances are, they'll recommend Cetaphil ($10.47).

Talk with any beauty editor or dermatologist, and chances are, they'll recommend Cetaphil ($10.47). The gentle line of face cleansers and lotions is favored for its ability to dissolve dirt without overdrying skin. And yet, I never tried the cleanser until this year.

I'm glad I finally did, because I've found an affordable everyday cleanser. The great thing about Cetaphil is that it doesn't overpromise. It just does what, at a basic level, a cleanser is supposed to do: get rid of the dirt and excess oil. I'm not crazy about the scent, which is ever-so-vaguely reminiscent of a doctor's office; then again, the fragrance is pretty soft, so unless you're mentally taking notes (for, say, your Doing Drugstore review), it probably won't bother you. For people with sensitive skin, or anyone who's lucky enough to have low-maintenance skin, you really can't go wrong.

Sure, I love fancy cleansers because their packaging is sleeker, or they have wonderful scents—and truthfully, I'll probably continue to try those out from time to time. But I'll have a hard time finding something as good at this price, that's for sure.

Doing Drugstore: L'Oreal Pure Zone Pore Unclogging Scrub Cleanser

After mentioning L'Oreal Pure Zone Pore Unclogging Scrub Cleanser in my Bliss review yesterday, I figured I might as well follow up with a review.

After mentioning L'Oreal Pure Zone Pore Unclogging Scrub Cleanser in my Bliss review yesterday, I figured I might as well follow up with a review. Not only is this L'Oreal cleanser ($6.49) one of my favorite drugstore finds, but it's also similar to the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($22) that many of you said was out of your price rang.

Like Bliss's product, L'Oreal's cleanser has a blue, gel-like texture interspersed with tiny exfoliating beads to unclog your pores. L'Oreal's cleansing beads are actually much larger than the Bliss beads, so it feels like the L'Oreal wash is more effective. It's hard to say if it is, though, so read more

Product Review: Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($22) is one of those products I hear about all the time but, until recently, had never tried.

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($22) is one of those products I hear about all the time but, until recently, had never tried. This face wash is marketed as a "two-in-one," because it combines a cleanser with "exfoliating gel," but really, it's a pretty basic face wash — that's a good thing — with tiny beads to help slough off dead skin.

See reader reviews of this product and add your own here!

The first thing I noticed about Fabulous Foaming Face Wash was the scent. The clear blue gel contains rose-hip extract, milk thistle, and passion flower, but the dominant essence is undoubtedly chamomile, which smells very natural and fresh.

Other than that, I wasn't bowled over by this cleanser the first time I used it. It was perfectly pleasant, but not exactly "fabulous," and the effect didn't feel that different from some good drugstore options, such as L'Oreal Pure Zone. However, the more I used it, the more I started to like it, so read more

New Skin Care Alert: Cornelia Essentials

If you are addicted to the glossies like I am, then I am sure you are well aware of the ultra posh Cornelia Day Spa in New York City.

If you are addicted to the glossies like I am, then I am sure you are well aware of the ultra posh Cornelia Day Spa in New York City. Located on Fifth Avenue, this salon and spa hosts some of the most famous faces in the world. Due to the success of the spa, Cornelia has developed a line of skin care products for the masses. I of course have not tried everything but I did want to share two products with you that I can not live without.

Since my skin is prone to painful hormonal cysts and break outs, I have been on the search for a great cleanser and moisturizer pair that will keep my skin hydrated, balanced and clear. For the past couple of weeks I have been using their Oil Regulating Cleansing Gel, $50, and their Blemish Clarifying Moisturizer, $125, from the Cornelia Works Collection since it was created for normal to oily complexions.

The Oil Regulating Cleansing Gel, $50, is a concentrated sand colored gel that contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It dissolves dirt and makeup, helps clear your pores and prevents blackheads and pimples. I can really feel it working because my skin tingles when I am finished washing.

The Blemish Clarifying Moisturizer, $125, is a super light cream that also fights breakouts and clogged pores. It emulsifies the natural oils in your face and helps regulate your sebaceous glands (sebum is the gross puss in your pimples). It absorbs quickly and just a little bit goes a long way, which is a relief since it's kinda pricey.
