Beauty Mark It Results: Overnight Hand Treatments

Thanks to everyone who participated in the latest Beauty Mark It Challenge.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the latest Beauty Mark It Challenge. Without fail, every week you find things that I put on my "must try" list. This time is no exception, as you came up with some fantastic moisturizing treatments that do their magic overnight.

Mocelebgossisme and Saturn9 both suggested Neutrogena Norwegian Formula cream. It's been a few years since I tried this, but their rave reviews (and the affordable price) have me thinking it's time to give it another whirl. Check out everyone's picks by browsing them below—and if you didn't have a chance to share your favorite, leave a comment and let everyone know what it is!

Beauty Mark It! Overnight Hand Treatments

We've already looked at some top-notch hand creams, but what do you use when you want to take things to the next level?

We've already looked at some top-notch hand creams, but what do you use when you want to take things to the next level? My mom used to slather on Bag Balm ointment, and then she'd slip on a pair of thin cotton gloves before heading to bed. In the morning, her hands were moist and smooth.

I thought it would be fun if everyone shared her favorite overnight hand treatments. This might involve great creams, luscious lotions, or a special kind of glove. You can share yours by tagging your choices with the phrase "overnight hand." I'll feature the readers' picks on BellaSugar next Tuesday, September 26.

New Product Alert: The Tree House from Philosophy

As a kid, I loved going back-to-school shopping with my mom.

As a kid, I loved going back-to-school shopping with my mom. Even if we didn't have much money to spend, it got me excited about the promise of the school year ahead. Now that I'm out of school, I don't have any reason to buy notebooks and pencils—but The Tree House still brings back that sense of elementary-school excitement.

Philosophy's The Tree House ($25) is a new kit for hands. Housed inside a cardboard treehouse are two mini-sized products: An Apple A Day hand wash and hand cream. Both have the scent of a crisp red delicious apple, and 100% of net proceeds go directly to PBS Kids. The limited-edition set is available only online and at Macy's. It would be a sweet back-to-school gift for a teacher. What do you think?

Green Tea

Product Review: June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Hand Treatment

By now, I am sure you've figured out that I am a little bit sensitive to products with strong smells.

By now, I am sure you've figured out that I am a little bit sensitive to products with strong smells. So putting on a fragrant hand cream was never really up my alley—until now. For funsies, I decided to try out this June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Revitalizing Hand Treatment ($46) because of its surprisingly light scent.

I was expecting something much heavier but in actuality it's very refreshing. In addition, the texture is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's ridiculously thick and creamy, so all you really need is a little bit to cover both of your hands. It spreads evenly, absorbs quickly and penetrates deeply.

And I've come to find that if you rub a little bit extra into your cuticles, most of the puffiness and redness (caused by picking or trimming) diminishes overnight.

I am hopelessly in love with this product. In fact, it's sitting next to my computer so I can have easy access to it all day. (Hey, I never said I wasn't an extremist!) The only slight issue I have is with the packaging. It's kind of dull and boring, and I really wish they made this in a tube form. When your hands are slippery, it makes getting the cap of the jar back on a real challenge!

Hair

Bellissima! DuWop Hands 2 Hair

You know me, I'm a sucker for most anything two-in-one, so maybe that's why I think this new Du Wop Hands 2 Hair ($16.50) product is so cool.

You know me, I'm a sucker for most anything two-in-one, so maybe that's why I think this new Du Wop Hands 2 Hair ($16.50) product is so cool. This baby is both a hair gel and a hand cream. Bravo, DuWop!

You know how normally after you put product in your hair you immediately wash your hands before you slime anything else that you touch? Well, now all you've got to do is rub it into your hands for a smooth finish on both your strands and your skin.

This emollient lotion is great for taming frizzy hair as well as relieving dryness from your hands. And for the price—well, what could be better?

I hope that next someone invents a lip balm that doubles as a conditioning hair treatment, since I never seem to know where to wipe the excess product from my finger. (Nice try, I see your wheels turning, but don't even think about it—I've already got the patent!)

Beauty Mark It! A New Hand Cream

I received this tube of amazing L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Creme, $25, as a hostess gift for throwing my friend a bridal shower.

I received this tube of amazing L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Creme, $25, as a hostess gift for throwing my friend a bridal shower. I love it but the problem is I got it two years ago and it has expired.

The once sweet scent is a now a little bit rank. I felt compelled to chuck it even though there was still quite a bit of product left. Can you help me find another thick, rich and moisturizing hand cream?

Let's all go beauty marking! Be sure to come back and tell me when your Beauty Marks are up, or just tag your choices with hand cream. To learn what a Beauty Mark is and how to make one, click here.

Now that it's winter, hands need special attention - I know every handbag of mine has a little sample-sized tube of something in it. But I was thinking of featuring hand creams under $10 since it is winter and some of use plow through these containers super quick (case in point: moi). Enjoy!
