Reader aromaworks recently headed to the BellaSugar Q and A group in the Bella Community and wondered, "Who makes a product like YSL Touche Éclat? I tried one by Milani, but no."
Great question, aromaworks. Touche Éclat ($40), is the crème de la crème of highlighters (see a few tips on how to use it here). It was even used on the set of Almost Famous to give Kate Hudson her youthful glow. But at $40 a pop, it's quite pricey. For some cheaper alternatives, I recommend Maybelline Instant Rewind or Jane Iredale Active Light Under-Eye Concealer.

Have you seen the recently released Stella McCartney Studded Falabella collection yet? This Eco Studded Faux Suede Clutch ($1,195) is part of the fashionable family. I love the chain detail, and the fact that it can go from shoulder bag to clutch in an instant. Though it's not the most expensive sister, it's still not that cheap. So sorry, Stella, we don't want to, but we have to move on . . .

You may recall how well Chanel's Noir Et Or Nail Lacquers went over with Team Bella. Well now, if you don't mind going silver instead of gold, there's a similar look for less: Revlon Nail Enamel Topcoat in Belle.
It's as glittery as Chanel's, at a fraction of the price. The only negative is that it's difficult to get enough of the large glitter flecks on the brush, and then it's equally difficult to get them arranged attractively on your nails. (A manicure stick could help). But still, it's cute, cheap, and perfect for Labor Day weekend parties.

The "greige" polish trend is still going strong. Here's an excerpt from OnSugar blog Beautopia, who wrote about a wonderfully inexpensive option she recently discovered.
Confetti Nail Polish in Moonstruck ($1.99) at CVS — The new polish brand at CVS that I saw a few weeks ago didn't have a lot of unique or crazy options, but this taupe stood out. Big shocker. I was pretty pleased with this purchase since the price is so low, it applied well, and the color is so pretty. Two coats was sufficient, and while the color is very similar to a lot of other taupe polishes out there, it's the cheapest I've found of any quality. The creme finish is quite glossy, as well, though I would definitely recommend a top coat.
