Atelier Versace Takes the Inky Eye from Grunge to Glamour

While we're enjoying award season here in the states, Paris is kicking off the Spring 2014 Haute Couture presentations. Atelier Versace sent models down the runway in Donatella Versace's signature inky eye makeup, but the look was elevated from grunge to gorgeous. For the Spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection, the models walked in smudged eyeliner and bedhead styles — the epitome of downtown cool. But the couture beauty had the refinement of Park Avenue with sleek middle parts and some models wearing hoods. The eye makeup was still dark, but instead of slept-in liner, the models wore a red-carpet-worthy smoky eye. It looks like grunge beauty is all grown-up!
