At Tory Burch, Less Is Definitely More

When looking at the beauty look from Tory Burch's Fall 2014 show, it was pretty impossible not to think of the designer herself. Sultry and sexy, the makeup was focused on luminous skin and copper-toned eyes. "We're just enhancing the girls' features," lead makeup artist Diane Kendal said. She swept a creamy copper shade across the lids and brushed it up to the brow bones and along the lower lash line. Kendal then worked a black cream liner tightly against the upper lash line, keeping them clear of mascara. "Sometimes you do the makeup, put mascara on, and it looks a bit old," she explained. "Leaving it off makes it look more modern." Lips were created using a nude shade from Tory Burch's lipstick line (out this March).

Speaking of a barely there technique, lead hairstylist Eugene Souleiman followed just that with the styles. "We're not using any product," he declared. "I'm not interested in it." A deep center part gave way to slightly waved strands (created with a small mist of water). One side of the hair was tucked behind the ear to show off a double-chained earring. Less is absolutely more at Tory Burch.
