The Smoky Eye at Roberto Cavalli Will Be Your Party Look Tonight
Roberto Cavalli is a fan of inky and dramatic eyeliner looks. For Fall 2013, it was a glossy and glittery smoky eye, but this season, Diane Kendal created a more squared-off version using a mix of brown and black pencils from MAC Cosmetics. The shadow extended out in a winged shape with a blunt rectangular edge, and liner reached all the way to the tear ducts. With such an intense eye, Kendal toned down the rest of the face with a soft peach lip color that practically disappeared on most models.
The chignons were something you might see on vacation after a long beach day (even though this was the Fall runway). Hair was roughly raked back into a bun with fingers, leaving lots of texture and flyaways. The back showed a loosely knotted doughnut with pieces precariously sticking out.
