Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Well-Rested For Eyes

This is my favorite foundation for decent coverage -in the summer, I often wear a lighter spray-on foundation just to even out any blotches, but nothing I've used has covered as well as this.

I do NOT like how it goes on with the flawless application brush. I use the baby buki, with the maximum coverage brush for any spot treatments (under eyes in particular!) and get great results.

My only complaint is that if I'm not careful, it goes on a little too thick and hides my freckles, too - and I like those!

I bought Bare Escentuals three years ago and I can't imagine using anything else. It looks sheer and natural and doesn't feel like I'm wearing make-up. As a working mom on the go, it takes just a few minutes to apply and I'm out the door.

A couple weeks ago I was sent a "friends and family" coupon and learned two of my deskmates adore BE. In fact, one of them went so far as to say: I don't use anything else on my face. Their reviews were so great I ran out and bought some that night. So far, I like it. It definitely helps battle the redness and hasn't made me break out yet (a rarity). I do think I need to invest in their special brush to make go on right.

I switched to Bare Escentuals mineral makeup about 3 years ago. I was skeptical when I first tried it, but I've never looked back. It evens out my skin tone and covers imperfections. I by no means have perfect skin, but I've started getting lots of compliments since I started wearing this makeup. The great thing is that it doesn't even feel like you're wearing makeup. The SPF 15 is a great bonus.

I use this when I don't get enough sleep. I guess that's the concept of the name. Otherwise the Foundation suffices for undereye circles. Anyways, for the days your boss works you too hard, this makes him think, "psh, no problem. now i deserve a raise for being so damn perky and awake!"

best ever used. can't wait to get rest of collection. Not much of a make-up user & this is a great find for me.

I love Bare Escentuals. It's the original mineral foundation. I can use the foundation as a foundation, concealer, eye makeup base-everything. It's great-very versatile. Some comments:

-The colors tend to be yellowish. I'm very fair and only fair works for me. Fairly light is way too orange.

-I'm messy and this powder gets everywhere. Just a word of warning.

-Start off with just a little. A little bit of this goes a long way. If you need more coverage, then apply more.

All in all-try the original before you try the rest!

I have been using Bare Minerals for about two years now and I must say it is the best foundation I have ever used. After finally finding a foundation that covers my zits instead of giving me new ones I am hooked! I will probably never use another foundation. However, there's ALWAYS room for improvement, right? I only have one complaint about Bare Minerals Foundation that keeps me from ranking it a perfect 5-star product - wrinkles! I've noticed that I am starting to get more wrinkles and Bare Minerals settles into them making them more obvious. If there were a way to make Bare Minerals cover the wrinkles instead of bring them out I would be the happiest girl alive! Who says a girl can't have her cake and eat it too? So, come on Leslie...make my dreams come true!!!

I don't know what I ever did without this make-up. It makes my skin look flawless. I don't have good skin at all, and I found that this has actually helped control my acne. I have far, far, far less acne then I did before I used this. I used liquid foundation and always found that after a couple of hours my face was super oily and it looked as though I never put make-up on. With this I put it on in the AM, and by PM it still looks flawless. I will never go back to anything else as long as this is around.

Bare Escentuals foundation seems like a dream product. It claims to be pure, natural and take away flaws while making it seem like you aren't wearing any makeup. After hearing all the hype, I had to try the product. I must say the foundation does feel light and you don't feel like you have a mask on or anything like that. But I felt it was too light, it didn't cover my imperfections as much as I wanted too(even after putting on the bisque concealer on top of the foundation). I will say the shades are very forgiving and its hard to pick the wrong shade. On the other hand, Ive had friends who look flawless in the foundation and have some really positive things to say about this product. I think this product looks different on every person, some great, some not so great. My advice is too try it on yourself before making the purchase.

I have very red, rosy cheeks and searched for a long time for a foundation that would cover my natural flush without hiding my face. For many years, I used liquid foundation that left my face looking caked on. I could never find the correct match for my skin and always had makeup lines around my chin. Even worse, the foundation rubbed off very quickly!

I had a major beauty turnaround when I discovered Bare Esentuals bareMinerals Foundation. The foundation covers my bright cheeks instantly and keeps them covered all day long! Application with the handy kabuki brush is so simple and has really cut down on my getting ready time in the morning. The colors blend perfectly with my skin tone without fail. It would be impossible to get makeup lines with this product because it blends in completely, every single time! I don't know what I would do without bareMineral Foundation. It truly is my beauty savior!

There is no all-around perfect product for everyone. And this product is no different. Like SaucyMerlot, my face started perfect - and two hours later was an oily mess. My pores were emphasized as no other product has done. Blotting papers took off the product along with excess oil... and my wrinkles became make-up filled lines. Just not a good look for me.

I have ridiculously oily skin with a tendency to break out very often. I bought this when I went to Sephora asking for a foundation that works for oily, acne-prone skin, and bought the starter kit. When first using, loved the fact that it immediately evened out my skin (though I had to use a separate concealer -- using Bare Minerals with their concealer brush did absolutely nothing) and made it look glowy. However, two hours later, that glowy had turned into a greasy looking mess where I looked like I had washed my face with cooking oil or something. Not to mention that when I would use oil-blotting papers to blot, off would come the oil...as well as the foundation. It rubs off on absolutely everything.

About two weeks into this, I also started noticing that I had little bumps all over my face, even in areas where I normally don't get acne. And the "glowy" factor of this foundation made those bumps more apparent than if I were using something more matte. I wasn't sure if the breakouts were due to the makeup at that time, but I stopped using it anyway. The bumps went away within a week.

Overall, there are pros and cons--
Pros: great coverage, really evened out my skin, the glowy aspect would probably be great for people with dry skin
Cons: rubs off on everything, makes oily skin looks even oilier, breakouts

Having used liquid and pancake and every other horrible foundation for years, and reaped the "benefits", although skeptical, tried the BE product line several years ago. I just turned 50 and no kidding, it's true what they say, people I meet are shocked. I were very little make-up now, skin is near perfect. Sold?, please; it is the very best product on the market. Mother and daughter, family and friends are now all BE believers as well. Thank you, Leslie.

i use all bare escentuals products except for mascara and blush, and i couldn't be happier. my skin always looks great and it is so good with my complexion. i am too fair skinned for most makeup lines - if they are light enough, they are often too yellow. i always recommend it and even got my mom to start wearing makeup again just by having her try it! it is easy to blend and correct if it goes on too heavily.

it is also a great price and it lasts for a while!

If you need cover up on moderately dark under eyes and hate the harshness and caking of some under eye liquid concealers, this will do. It goes on silky, looks natural, and actually will brighten up your eyes. However, if you have serious under eye issues, i suggest using this only on top of a more heavy duty product.

I bought the try me kit & joined thr club about 4 years ago...this stuff is magic.
Just like the informercial, no one ever says I have beautiful make up..just skin!
Now that is saying something as I'm 64 and have (ashamed to say) neglected my skin for years.
I have tried other brands trying to save a little dough and nothing ever stackes up to the quality, results and ease of use for this product.

My mom got me to start trying this and I am pretty happy with it. I use this, the concealer and the mineral veil. The only negative that I can say is sometimes it doesn't go on as smooth as I would like, or looks a little too dark in some spots. I really can't complain, and I like the fact that it is all natural because there are definitely times I forget to wash my face at night and it makes me feel better with this on my skin.

I love this product. I use medium beige and it works with my skin no matter how tan or pale I am --- I don't know how it does this, but I love it!

It has never made me breakout, and I have oily skin. I also like that it is SPF 15.

I can see how this product might not cover up hardcore blemishes, but for my skin and anyone with just a few minor areas to cover, it's perfect.

As a true makeup junkie and there just are not many foundations I haven't tried....cream, liquids, powder foundation...you name it! When I found this foundation 4 years ago, I have used nothing else. It completely evens out my skin tone plus you can mix foundation colors to come up with the perfect shade!! Great foundation.

I was so excited to jump on the Bare Escentuals train after everyone in the office was raging about it. I ended up picking up a $75 starter kit that includes all the basics. I must say, it does even out skin tone without giving you that caked-on make-up feel, but after day four — my face was a full on war zone. Pimples covering my forehead and small bumps all along my jawline. I'm assuming that it's the SPF, since I can sometimes react to sunscreens... So if you have sensitive skin or have a tendency to breakout, I'd take a sampler home to try out before you fully commit yourself.

I know a lot of people are nuts about this product, and I really wanted to be also, but it gave me the worst break-outs of my life!
The product was easy to use and gave me a very uniform complexion, BUT it rubbed off on everything, and I was also looking pretty "cakey" and too made up. After about a week, I started having these small bumps appear all over my face, leading to later break-outs. As soon as I stopped using the product, my skin cleared right up and I'm back to my much-loved Bobbi Brown "Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm".
Despite my bad experience, the company was very nice about giving me a full refund and apologizing for my terrible reaction! Good luck to those who try it

I like how easy this product is to use and I like that you can use it as concealer and as foun dation depending on the brush you use, that's great.

What I don't like is how it feels on my skin. The promise was that it would feel light, however once I had it on, between the foundation and Mineral veil it was really too much for me, I felt like it was clogging my pores and stiffening up my skin (and I don't even have dry skin). I also found that while the shades offered in the trial package were pretty good, neither was quite right for my skin - they were simply too beige. I think there should be a different set for olive skin.

I know some people who can wear this and look fine, but it makes me look old and breaks me out. I don't have sensitive skin, but it's probably the bismuth oxide, which can be irritating. A lot of people have had this problem because of that ingredient in a lot of mineral makeup brands. It was itchy, settled into every fine line I have, and accentuated every dry patch on my face. Maybe this is something for oiler skin. I don't recommend it at all.

One of my friends used BE Mineral foundation and I loved the way her face looked. I decided to give it a try myself and was amazed at how natural looking it felt on my face. It evens out my blotchy red skin, doesn't irritate my skin, and lasts a long time. It can be a little pricey but well worth the investment.

What I love about Well Rested is that you can't tell I've used it. I use a bisque concealer under my eyes and apply the well rested to the inner corners and just under my eyes. I don't know if anything can make the circles completely disappear, but the yellow pigment in the concealer helps me get pretty close.

I've used this foundation for about 3yrs now & for the most part have loved it. It doesn't make my combo skin break out, doesn't make me look shiny - even in the hot/humid weather that I live in, and it doesn't feel heavy. However, this winter I noticed that it just didn't mesh as well w/my skin as before. I tend to have drier skin in the winter & for some reason I feel like this is accentuating it (even though it's not differ this winter than the past). I also use this w/the concealer brush around the bottom of my nose to hide broken capillaries & sometimes under my eyes & I feel like it just makes the areas (especially under my eyes) look extra dry & old lady like! I'm only 23 and I moisturize well.
I've also noticed that this rubs off my face waaaay easier than in the past, even though I don't wear very much and wear a foundation primer (smashbox).
I read somewhere that as popularity & demand for this grows that the quality is dropping a bit & I think that's a definite possibility. For now I'll keep using it. Hopefully it works just as great as before when the weather warms up. If not I'm going to try the new Dior liquid mineral makeup. I hear it's great

Let me start by saying, I have never been a fan of foundation because it always seems to feel like a mask. While I don't wear foundation often every now and then I feel like its necessary to finish my face. Bare Escentuals gives me a beautiful finish without the heavy layer. It also gives a very natural look, not as in I'm not wearing make-up, but in that I have flawless skin. I really think this is the perfect blend between liquid and powder.

A couple of years ago I tried the Bare Escentuals kit, after 2 weeks I gave it to a friend. I absolutely hated the product because according to the sales lady at __________ I had to mix 2 different foundations to achieve my shade. Who wants to spend that much time? So I gave up. 2 weeks ago I decided to give it another try b/c all my friends were raving about the product. I went to ________ and was color matched (one color mind you and totally different from the 2 the other lady gave me). It is the greatest foundation, my problem skin is problem no more. I've been converted!

I have to confess I was not truly a makeup girl until I was in my late 30s. Even then, foundations either irritated my skin or were too thick and pasty. So I flirted with lipstick and eye shadows until I saw an ad for Bare Minerals that offered a money-back guarantee. I tried it and I am amazed at home well it covers - lightly if you wish or just buff a little more into that problem spot when you need to do so. It looks natural. I've used it for over two years with no problems. I can't recommend a makeup line more than this one and it all starts with foundation.

This is a perfectly OK pale vanilla toned eyeshadow, and works fine as a base color. I didn't find it effective as a concealer. Most of us would have to be careful about using a powder like this under the eye anyway, as it tends to settle in the fine lines. Can be mixed with a moisturizer if you're determined to try to use it as a concealer.

It seems like just about everyone is singing the praises of BareMinerals these days - and if you're like me, that kind of bandwagon-jumping makes you kind of skeptical. I held out for a year before buying a starter kit, but now that I've been using BM for more than two months, I'm feeling the love too!

Up front, the one serious drawback to this product is the mess factor. This is NOT a product for people who travel constantly. It is made to sit on your vanity or makeup application area. If you take it with you on a bus/metro/train/plane voyage, you are going to be in for a nasty, messy surprise when you open the jar again.

Other than that, though - it's great. The powder is very fine, easy to blend if you want to mix shades, very soft when you buff it on, and very long-lasting. (Oily skin definitely requires extra prep work to keep the shine away, though - I use moisturizer and then oil-control lotion before I put on a first layer of Mineral Veil.) It even covers blemishes and dark circles really well - much better than I was expecting, actually, given that I'm used to hardcore MAC cream formulas. And it blends very well, giving a fresh and natural look that often makes it look like you're really going makeup-free!

I usually wear a regular liquid foundation, but I got a deluxe sample of this stuff and I figured I'd give it a go. I really liked that it instantly evened out my skin tone. It felt very light on my skin. It really didn't even feel like I had anything on. All I had to do was use a concealer on a couple of places and I was good to go. My biggest gripe with this product is staying power. I felt like it didn't last all day, which was unfortunate. This isn't the ideal foundation to carry around for touch ups either. Also, I have oily skin and a couple hours in, I definitely had to break out the oil absorbing sheets to do damage control. I loved the coverage. The colors worked well for me, but I just don't think it's the best thing out there for me.

I never wear foundation. I feel like I look too made up or feel too caked and I can never get anything to blend perfectly. My friend Aimee introduced me to this stuff and I really like it. It's multi functional and very light. It blends perfectly so you don't feel like you're clogging your pores or you look too made up. It feels like its barely there but it evens out skin tone and also acts as a concealer for spots too. And as a bonus it has SPF Highly recommend it.

This is a great foundation for those with oily/combo skin and are prone to breakouts. It's shear enough so it doesn't look caked on BUT it covers imperfections beautifully! Once you try it you'll have a hard time wearing anything else.

I love BM products! I do have to layer a lot to get the desired coverage, but it never feels heavy!

This is the best. You can put a little on for some color during the day or you can go heavier in the evening for a more polished look. Great for oily skin. Doesn't cause horrible breakouts like heavy liquid foundation. Good sun filter too!

This foundation provides great coverage and a natural finish. There are no chemical fillers so this foundation is not harmful to you or your skin. Even though this is a powder foundation, it has great lasting power and it is still on my face at the end of the day. Love BE products and I have been a faithful user for 5+ years.

I own EVERY bare minerals product imaginable, and I was somewhat disappointed with this one....is makes under your eyes look white.

Tried it on at Sephora and found a hard time finding a color that matched my skin. It looked cakey, didn't hide anything, and made me itchy. Now, I'm hesitant to try things from Bare Escentuals.

I like everything about this foundation EXCEPT for the way it makes me look shiny! I have tried the different BE brushes and all of the recommended application techniques, and it still gives me a shiny look. I heard that they are coming out with a matte version, and I will definetely try it!

I'll never go back to liquid or cream foundations now that I have found bareMinerals foundation. It doesn't break out my skin, covers what I need to cover, and looks like I'm not wearing makeup at all! Plus, it provides an spf of 15. It took me a couple of tries to get a true shade match, but even the "wrong" shade looked better than the cream to powder foundation I was wearing before. I've been wearing BE for 9 years now, and I've tried a few of the imitators in the drugstore, but none of them work as well for me. They made my skin break out, or didn't last as long, or looked powedery/chalky on my face. BE is the real deal!

I have been using this product for several years now and cannot live without it! I like how easy it is for me to choose how much coverage I want depending on the season and the condition of my skin. I can apply an extra layer or two when I break out, and I still feel like it looks natural. If only it was easier to apply in the car

About a year ago I saw an advertisement for the bare escentuals kit and thought Id give it a try. I didnt love all the products but one I did stick with is this foundation. It evens the skin tone and covers imperfections and doesnt look like you're wearing any makeup at all! Plus, I love the SPF and I really do feel like my skin has become healthier since Ive been using it..

I really like the feel and finish I get from this foundation, but I'm in between the colors. If this happens to you, the good news is that you can buy the two you are in between and mix them together and try to get your exact color, but it is a bit of a hassle. I would love it if they came out with more premixed colors. Also I've heard that some of the ingredients can cause allergic reactions in some people, so make sure to test it first before buying.

This foundation is fool proof. So easy to put on in the morning. Gives complete coverage with and blends on skin beautifully. I've been using BE since 2003 and have been extremely happy. You must use a good brush to apply for the best application (BE baby buki, full buki brush, heavenly brush etc.) The only drawback is the powder can me messy. Easily drops on sink and sometimes lightly dusts clothes.

I rarely used foundation till I came across this. This stuff is great. it not heavy, you dont feel it all. It long wearing. I've recieved so many compliments because my skin looks healthier with this on! So now I wear it everyday! It gives great covereage. Hides all the imperfections. A lil goes a long way as well. Its my holy grail.
Also, there are so many shades, you're bound to find your shade. Mine was on point! In the summer when I get tanned, I mix two shades, and it turns out perfect for my summer tan! I've found my perfect match!
