Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

This is what really and deeply bothers me about Clinique. They refuse to put an SPF in this moisturizer. Would it really kill them to add some SPF 15 or even 30? No, no. They have to swindle you out of more money to get you to buy an additional sunscreen or an additional moisturizer with sunscreen so you can get that protection that everyone--including the "experts" at Clinique--say you need. If they would just add that, their 3-Step System would be pretty much perfect. Rant aside, the gel version is better for oiler skins, but still isn't strong enough to really tackle substantial dryness in the cheeks and still leads to late-in-the-day shininess.

I love everything about this moisturizer! It's gel, so it's really absorbent, the pump is really nice, and it keeps my skin hydrated without clogging pores. Highly recommended.

I have very sensitive skin that is oily and acne prone so it's not easy finding a good moisturizer that works for me. I like gel moisturizers since they tend to be lighter. I've been using this for a few months now and so far so good. No breakouts. There is a slight fragrance and although I prefer fragrance free skincare, it's light enough that I don't mind the scent. A little goes a long way and I can cover my entire face with 2 short pumps. It doesn't feel greasy and gets absorbed into the skin fairly quickly. Not quite HG but am keeping this in my morning routine.

I love this gel. Its the only moisturizer I will use. The tight feeling the gel gives your skin is fantastic.
However, I can tell you than using too much can cause your skin to be a bit more oily. If that should happen, just lay off it for a day or so and viola.

This is a great "drink" for your skin that instantly adds hydration to your skin and makes your oily skin feel rejuvenated. I love how clean and clear my skin stays after using this pump moisturizer. Your oily skin will turn smooth and silky and feel great.

the gel moisturizer blends SOOOO much better into my skin than their cream does, it just soaks right in. It's nice and light. I use a pea sized drop between my hands and rub it into my face after the shower and before bed and blend it with foundation in the morning to lighten that up (I don't like heavy make-up, but the best color I've found for me comes in a cream the consistency of toothpaste).

Hooray for Clinique listening to their customers! I remember telling the woman at the counter (at least 5 years ago) that I wished they made a gel moisturizer, that their regular (cream) just felt too heavy to me.

I have been using some acne products that dry my skin if I get heavy-handed in my application. This gel-lotion does a great job in soothing my skin and keeping it from looking peely. My foundation no longer clings to any flaky skin, but my oily skin does not shine like a headlight like it can with other moisturizers. Yay Clinique!

Since it's quite difficult to find what's good for my sensitive oily skin type, i think i like this product, i use it after clinique clarifying moisture lotion no 3, and now after a month of usage i find my skin tone look better, the pores are smaller. No fragrance, that's what i love about it.

I agree with others in that this is the essential basic moisturizer for those of us who suffer mild oily skin and the frequent breakout. There's not a lot of chemicals to freak out sensitive faces which is great and I like the way it primes my skin for makeup. It's very soothing right out of the shower and I've even used it over makeup to spot-treat dry spots during the winter months. The pump is also very convenient!!

My mom started me on a Clinique beauty regimen when I was pretty young. I used to really enjoy the feel of this product, but as I've gotten older I've had to discontinue use because it makes my skin look and feel too oily. I feel like it sits on top of my skin instead of actually getting IN my skin.

My mother used this as i was growing up, and i used to use her free samples she got in bonus bags, It wasnt untill i got into my early twenties that i realized there were other and BETTER moisturizers out there. I will use this in a pinch but not daily.

This cream is the perfect basic. If you don't like scents or other additions to your moisturizer look no further. It's slightly heavy, but evens out very well on your skin and moisturizes very well all day. It can get a little runny in your fingers, but is never greasy and overall just feels like a natural addition to your skin when it is applied.

It does it's job, but it feels really oil and make me rather shiny when I use it. It also pills up with my make up which is unacceptable. It's too expensive to be so annoying

I got a sample of this with a "free gift with purchase". It's a little too heavy for my skin [my skin is more on the oily side] so I only used it a few times. I wouldn't buy the full size version.

This moisturizer works pretty good for me, but I see how it could be too heavy for some skin types. It keeps my skin soft and smooth without making me oily, but there are better moisturizers out there. I would say that overall it is just a good, basic moisturizer.

This keeps my skin moisturized, but it's really heavy and often gives my face an oily look after applying, so I only use this at night.

My skin is dry, but also really sensitive to breakouts, so finding a moisturizer that actually keeps my skin hydrated without causing it to break out is tough. I've tried a lot of oil-free moisturizers but this is far and away my favorite. I've used it for years, and I love it. Just make sure to get the gel and NOT the lotion, the lotion isn't oil free but they look identical (the picture here is of the lotion).

This isn't a moisturizer it's a base drink as someone above stated. I have a active lifestyle so very combo skin with sensitive cheeks & oily T zone prone to break outs with cheap cremes. The #3 3 step works best and I spent years of trying to deny it because of the added cost, yet I also add a lancome day creme and bam instant radiance.

This product really soaks into my skin unlike any other moisturizer on the market. that being said, it doesn't seem to be enough during the winter months as i get dry flaky skin. It also stings around the eye area so watch out! But overall it is good for summer and for skin that needs just a little bit of moisture.

I am totally addicted to this moisturizer, because it's so nice and it makes my face so soft, and it hydrates perfectly... I don't really like the smell, but that's nothing compared to all the goods it contains... I have a dry skin, and This is the first moisturizer that really does it job.

I just bought a set of the 3 step skin care system and have been using for about a week now. I am in love. My skin tends to be oily in the t-zone, occasional breakouts, not that sensitive, and I can't believe how simple and amazing these products are! This moisturizer is incredibly velvety smooth after it is applied to my face. Never greasy or heavy, but it definitely gets the job done! I actually look forward to washing my face and I cannot believe I haven't found these products sooner! I think I will be a lifelong user of the 3 step system!!

Very good coverage in winter but a little heavy during summer weather when skin is oilier. Good coverage and be careful with that pump, sometimes it flies out and gets on the counter instead of your finger.

This moisturizer does a great job providing moisture to the skin, but if you have really oily skin, beware! It's very heavy and just makes my oil seem even worse than usual. Not a fan.
