Do You Dye Your Eyebrows To Match Your Hair?

Over the weekend at the Cannes Film Festival, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld arrived at the Dolce and Gabbana party with thick, dark eyebrows that contrasted with her fair hair. It's obvious by her roots that she's not a natural blonde, and she isn't one to take a high-maintenance look anyway. But most colorists, while lifting a woman's base color, would lighten her brows as well to create uniformity. What do you think of this look? When you change your hair color, do you change your brow color, too?

At yesterday's amfAR gala in Cannes, celebrities put on their best gowns to help raise money to fight HIV/AIDS. Since one symbol of AIDS awareness is the red ribbon, it's fitting that three of the guests - all with very different personal style - slicked on bold red lipstick. Of Juliette Lewis, Dita Von Teese, and Petra Nemcova, who do you think wears the hue best?

Beauty Mark It Results: Because You Cannes, Cannes, Cannes

The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival has been underway for a week, and the stars are continuing to shine. This year at the festival, Salma Hayek wore a wrap-around braid, Angelina did a one-sided, half-up hairdo, and Natalie Portman went with a curly updo. But that's just the hair. I'm also curious about what's happening in the makeup realm, and that's exactly the question I posed to you last week: What beauty items would you rock on the red carpet?

Team member musewings picked one of the more obvious choices, but who can disagree that the Nars Multiple ($37) in color Cannes isn't an appropriate choice? Musewings said she'd rub the rosy bronze shade lightly "over [her] cheeks for a subtle glow." She sounds Cannes-ready to me.

Love It or Hate It? Salma Hayek's Wrap-Around Braid

Since this isn't a look you'd usually find on Salma Hayek, I just had to point it out. She usually goes for an ethereal goddess or a sophisticated and sexy look, not something quite this constructed. For the record, I can not believe how big braids are this Summer, can you? What do you think of this milkmaid-braid hairstyle on Salma? Do you like it or would you have preferred to see her hair styled another way?

Almost all of you loved Natalie Portman's curly updo last week at Cannes, and judging by her look at the premiere of Indiana Jones, she's not afraid of changing her style. Those lips make a bold statement, especially on milky skin like Natalie's. A creamy coral-red lipstick such as MAC lipstick in Lady Danger ($14) will help you steal her look. Cannes Angelina Jolie Pull Off a One-Sided, Half-Up Hairdo?

So far we've seen two beauty looks from Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival. The first was yesterday morning at the Kung Fu Panda photo call when she arrived wearing minimal makeup and her hair styled with one side half-up and half-down.

The second was last night at the Kung Fu Panda movie premiere. Her makeup was more defined and her hair was flowing long and loose. Both looks are beautiful on the glowing, growing star, yet I took a pregnant pause at the somewhat matronly, late '70s-inspired, one-sided style. Do you like this look on Angelina?

The Cannes Film Festival is up and running, and Natalie Portman is showing off her elegant style as usual. Too bad we didn't see her folk beau with her; I'd love to see Devendra in a tux.

The 61st annual Cannes Film Festival begins today, and you know what that means: international celebrities donning their haute couture and going glamorous with their hair and makeup. If you don't believe me, just check out how stunning Angelina Jolie was last year. In honor of the most prestigious of all film festivals, I'm challenging you to bookmark beauty items that you'd rock on the red carpet.

I'll start you off with the classic fragrance Chanel N°5, because it's oh so French, and it's been represented by such Cannes staples as Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman, and Audrey Tautou. That's my choice. What's yours?
