It's no secret this Spring is set to be saturated with color. Lanvin got the inspiration rolling by placing their deliciously bold party frocks in a painterly setting. Renaissance colors embolden the wildflower background and set off the vividly colored dresses and the model Olga Sherer's pale skin. Photographer Steven Meisel was an absolute visionary in his approach. These may be some of my favorite ads of the season - what about you?

There's nothing like a little supermodel wattage to up the ante of an ad campaign. Gisele lends her star power to Versace for Spring, appearing in a rainbow of colors and various states of dishabille. Those enviable legs of hers get closeups along with bangles, bags, and Louboutin-like red-soled shoes. Did famed photog Mario Testino catch her being glam? Or is your eye less than pleased?

Designer of the Moment: Gucci

Bumble bees watch out . . . Hollywood's hottest ladies are posing serious threat in their black-and-yellow Gucci dresses. Celebs like Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba, Marion Cotillard, Eva Longoria, and Camilla Belle are all loving themselves some Gucci lately, and given the vibrant Spring '08 collection, it's plain to see why.

The line abounds with bright yellow, oversized abstract florals, and black and white. And who can resist the power of noir. Not Drew - she wore her frock with a piped belt to the Gucci/UNICEF event. There's more Gucci where that came from so gush away.

On Our Radar: Isaac Mizrahi's Spring 2008 Collection For Target is Here

I'm sad Isaac Mizrahi is leaving Target (sniff, sniff). I know I'll still be able to locate him at Liz Claiborne, but I love his budget-friendly designs. Oh well, no use in dwelling on something I can't control. On to something more positive: Isaac's Spring '08 collection for Target! Some of it is beyond simple - he must design some pieces for his less-trendy customers - but most of it is Fab. I know I'll be scooping up some pieces, like this leaf-print shift dress ($18) and the classic blue dress ($40). Most of it is not online yet but it'll trickle in any day now, so look out!

Fab Ad: Kenneth Cole Non-Uniform Thinking Campaign

This may look like just an everyday fashion ad, but look closer and you'll see that the model has prosthetic limbs. That's because Aimee Mullins was born without fibulae in both legs. All of Kenneth Cole's latest non-uniform thinking ads have a message that goes beyond outer beauty. They still do their job - sell shoes - but in the most nonsuperficial way possible. One ad features a gay married couple and their daughter, while another is modeled by the HIV-positive editor-in-chef of POZ Magazine. I'm more physically drawn to pretty ads, but these have a strong emotional message. What do you think?

Sneak Peek! More California Casuals From Lauren Conrad's Spring '08 Collection

The first batch of Lauren Conrad's Spring '08 collection was rather simple, but the reality star has added new and more interesting pieces. This collection, named Bella, includes a jersey maxi dress (left), a fun full skirt, and a handful of Dolly-print frocks. I admit that LC's designs aren't anything groundbreaking, but they're good for gals who like loose-fitting, comfy fashions.

Oh and I guess this is an appropriate time to tell you that I'll be attending The Lauren Conrad Collection Fall '08 runway show at LA Fashion Week next week! I'm really excited to see what LC will bring us for autumn. Stay tuned . . .

Fab Ad: Hermes Spring 2008

In a time when runways are hardly the picture of diversity, it's refreshing to see a well-known brand like Hermes herald a model of color - especially a gorgeous South Asian like Lakshmi Menon. The campaign is definitely a taste of something different: zillions of flower petals, brightly painted elephants holding luxurious handbags, and a very large foot trying to fit into a comparatively smaller shoe. I'm digging the label's efforts to try something new - are you?

Fab Ad: Diesel Live Fast Spring/Summer '08

Diesel's new ad campaign is dubbed "Live Fast" and that's an understatement. One in particular that stands out to me is the ad below, which has stylish friends applying bright-colored lipstick while running down the street. Another model changes her baby's diaper while sprinting, while another gets plastic surgery while on the job. These ads really speak to the fast-paced nature of the world and bring whole new meaning to the phrase "killing two birds with one stone," but I'm not sure how effective they are in selling the clothes. What do you think?

Nina Ricci's Spring/Summer '08 ad campaign can easily be mistaken for Fall/Winter ads. The dark hues and layered clothes hardly scream Spring. Clearly that's what Olivier Theyskens was going for so he chose the ideal models - Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski - to convey the brooding mood. Regardless of the season, Mario Sorrenti's shots are captivating. They draw you in and make you want to dissect every aspect of each photo. But is it me or is Karlie Kloss (left) slightly upstaging Courtney? It may be her intense glare. What do you think about these ads?

Fab Ad: Armani Jeans Spring/Summer '08

In-your-face, vulgar sexuality is nothing new to advertising (hello, Dolce & Gabbana?), but when a usually demure designer gets in on the raunchy action, it takes you by surprise. The Armani Jeans Spring/Summer '08 ads with Julia Stegner and Evandro Soldati are definitely hot, hot, hot. Maybe they look more-so when compared to the Armani PrivéSpring 2008 couture collection. I'm not usually conservative when it comes to fashion ads, but these may have taken sexy a step too far. I feel like I've barged in on a hot and heavy makeout session. What do you think?
