Trend Alert: Nude, Matte Lips at the Emmys
On the red carpet last night, tons of celebrities played down their makeup, especially lips. As usual, there were lots of soft pinks and shimmers, but the dominant trend was nude, matte lips. Her makeup was simple, but she was subtly making the transition into Fall with her berry lipstick.

Nominated for her role in Saving Grace, Holly Hunter looks every bit the movie star on tonight's red carpet. She wore her hair very long with luscious, curly blond tendrils, showing that she really knows how to make 50 sexy. From a makeup perspective, she kept the look pretty minimal — pink tinted lips, lightly rouged cheeks, barely there shadow — letting her fabulous hair do the talking.
