Between the VMAs, Fashion Week, and the impending Emmys, it's been one busy week. In the midst of all the craziness, however, we don't want to forget about you, Toronto Film Festival. Over the last couple of days, celebrities have been popping up at Fashion Week and the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with more than a love of cool clothing or a movie premiere in common. From Rachel Bilson to Drew Barrymore, blue and blue-green nails are everywhere. I love that these traditionally warmer-weather shades are making the seasonal transition, and the range of fashionable colors means there are flattering colors and depths of tones for practically every skin tone.

Last week, we caught a glimpse of Drew Barrymore sporting this black-tipped bob while promoting her film, Whip It, in Boston. At first I wasn't sure if the dipped-in-black look was a permanent fixture in the actress's ever-changing look, but judging from her appearance earlier today at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival, it looks like these deep, dark raven-toned ends are here to stay. And in rather matchy-matchy fashion, she even chose to wear this black and yellow Alexander McQueen dress, which coordinates to perfection.

Does Jennifer Connelly ever not look amazing? When it comes to complementary makeup colors, the actress is a very lucky gal. While she has cool-toned features, like icy green eyes and deep, dark eyebrows, she's also able to wear warm tones, particularly with that golden tan she's got in the last two photos.

Amanda Seyfried always manages to look soft and pretty, but at the Toronto Film Festival last night, she turned it up a few notches with this nice-girl, sexy look. Using gold shadow to brighten up a traditional smoky eye, and rocking just-bitten lips and rosy cheeks, her makeup was understated but fresh, and totally perfect for the new season.
