Whew! What a week it's been, and in case you missed these slideshows the first time around, why not take a peek at some of my favorite looks from 2010 Spring New York Fashion Week? We saw lots of colorful liners, peachy lips, and sleek bobs.

Mermaid waves never go out of style, even at Fashion Week, so it's not a surprise that for the Proenza Schouler show, Frédéric Fekkai lead stylist Didier Malige was inspired by California surfer girls' tousled hair. The look was totally sexy, a little wild, and surprisingly easy to do. (And if you're so inclined, you can even spritz on a little purple and green temporary hair color to mimic the style worn by some of the models.) Fab was totally loving the chic clothing, and I liked how the creamy nude lips with smudged shadow lent a soft, party-girl effect.

It was the final day of Fashion Week, and while I'm sad to see it go, I'm excited to discover how many of these hair and makeup looks will make the transition into the mainstream. These final two days were absolutely lovely, with more old-guard designers like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Oscar De La Renta injecting an elegance that nicely hedged the experimental looks from younger designers. Click through and see what some of the most established houses, along with some of the hottest new ones, had to offer.

Over the last couple of days, celebrities have been popping up at Fashion Week and the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with more than a love of cool clothing or a movie premiere in common. From Rachel Bilson to Drew Barrymore, blue and blue-green nails are everywhere. I love that these traditionally warmer-weather shades are making the seasonal transition, and the range of fashionable colors means there are flattering colors and depths of tones for practically every skin tone.

Is there ever a case when a smudgy under eye actually looks OK? If the technique is left in the hands of famed makeup artist and Shiseido’s artistic director, Dick Page, then the answer is yes. At Narcisco Rodriguez's show, the models wore smudged eye makeup with minimal foundation.

The last couple of days have been some of the most experimental of the week. If you've seen the makeup and hair at Marc Jacobs's runway show you know what I'm talking about. While I'm excited to see designers innovating, I'd also like to showcase looks that are achievable without a team of brilliant makeup artists present.

When I first saw the photos from Rodarte's runway show, I couldn't help but be immediately drawn to the swirly, geometric arm tattoos worn by the models on the runway. It was a little bit Xena: Warrior Princess and Kat Von D combined. Fab was on the fence about the clothing, inspired by California condors, but as for that well-thought-out tribalesque arm makeup, I was definitely impressed.

Hmm, let's see. Where else have we seen '80s-influenced styles on the runways thus far? We caught a glimpse of the totally awesome decade with Derek Lam's rainbow of eye colors, Gwen Stefani's rocker chic looks at L.A.M.B., and we even experienced a touch of it from the twisted headbands at Charlotte Ronson.

Not only have we spotted minimal makeup this 2010 Spring Fashion Week, we're also seeing lots of pale nails. At Marc Jacobs's show, the theatrical makeup look, which was created by NARS and inspired by dancer Martha Graham, had a gothic, mysterious quality. As for the nails, Jacobs hand-picked four shades of OPI polishes to complement the whimsical, nude-toned clothing we saw on the runway.
