How-To: Marisa Tomei's Hair at the 2009 Oscars

Marisa Tomei didn't pick up another Oscar last night, but when you already have an Academy Award at home, perhaps some of the pressure is off. (Maybe? Wishful thinking?) No matter, Marisa looked beautiful in her Versace gown, which inspired Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel to create this soft and cascading hairstyle.

Step one: Abergel applied Fekkai More All-Day Density Styling Whip (a mousse) to roots and Coiff Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Creme throughout hair.
Step two: Abergel blow-dried Marisa's hair with a round brush, pinning it in place as it cooled. Use hair clips to secure hair in various soft curves. Sweep bangs to the side, and don't worry if a few strands of hair move loosely - that's the idea.
Step three:Use bobby pins to secure the hair, then remove the hair clips. Finish with hairspray.

How-To: Anne Hathaway's Hair at the Golden Globes

Anne Hathaway's alabaster skin, raspberry lips, and pulled-back chignon were a hit last night. I already gave you the details on her classic makeup, and now I've got the how-to on that right-on-trend slick, chic hair. Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai styled Hathaway's hair with clean lines and clean texture. Take a look at his technique below:
Apply Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel ($23) from roots to ends. Next, comb hair into a very deep side part and thoroughly dry with a large round brush. Then, gather hair in a low ponytail, applying Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme ($23) for shine and texture. Secure with an elastic holder at the nape, and tuck the ponytail underneath. Some bobby pins and hair pins will keep it in place. To complete this old Hollywood look, spray it with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray ($23).

How-To: Jennifer Garner's Oscars Hair

Jennifer Garner strutted the red carpet last night in a sophisticated and loose sideswept hairstyle, balanced out by a sexy, smoky eye and luxe jewelry. Her hair stylist for the evening, Adir Abergel for Frederic Fekkai, gave me the scoop on how he achieved this look for the big night.

"The inspiration came to me when I first saw the dress on her, during her fitting with Rachel Zoe," he explained. "The dress had a very similar vibe to the hair that we ended up doing: a clean, chic, heavy side-parted bang, with a romantic knotted low twist in the back. Jennifer loved the idea and we ran with it. I knew that she wanted it up, and the rest was a fun collaborative team effort."

Step 1: On wet hair, work a styling product from root to tip to help give hair texture. Adir used Fekkai Coiff Shape and Set Mist.
Step 2: Part hair three-quarters of the way on one side, up from the outer corner of your eye. Blow-dry small sections at a time with a round brush and pin back each one as you go along. Adir let Jennifer's hair set for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: Using a 1-inch curling iron, curl the entire head of hair and allow to cool, then finish with a misting of Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.
Step 4: Leaving the severe side bang out, gather the rest of the hair at the nape of the neck. Wrap it into a loose bun and pin in place. Pull out a few more strands around either side of the face.

How-To: Christina Applegate's SAG Awards Hairstyle

For the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Samantha Who nominee Christina Applegate arrived on the red carpet looking very old Hollywood. Celebrity hair stylist Adir Abergel created her gorgeous sparkly side-swept chignon using all Fekkai products. Her makeup was pale and flawless with lined black eyes and red lips. Plus, her gown was so pretty that she made FabSugar's best-dressed list!

Step 1: Since creating texture is key to this kind of look, begin by applying Fekkai Coiff Shape and Set Mist all over the hair from roots to ends. Next, blow-dry hair and finger comb through.
Step 2: Then, take a one-inch barrel curling iron, and curl two-inch sections of your hair, choosing random pieces all over your head. You do not have to curl every hair, only about two-thirds (since you are trying to create an uneven texture).
Step 3: Rub a dime-size amount of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant in your palms and gently rub it all over your hair. This will create a soft hold.
Step 4: Use your fingers to hand rake your hair into a low side ponytail. Secure with a hair elastic at the nape of your neck, leaving the ponytail loose and slightly messy. Lastly, twist your ponytail to create a messy chignon and secure with bobby pins. Then, mist your entire head with Fekkai Sheer Hold hair spray.

Oscars Red Carpet Beauty: How to Get Anne Hathaway's Hair

Anne Hathaway looked very pretty Sunday night at the Oscars. She sported red lips, a 14 carat diamond right hand ring and three diamond bracelets from Van Cleef & Arpels.

Although I wasn't totally in love with her Valentino black and white bow dress, overall she presented herself in a very, sophisticated, elegant and age appropriate way. Anne just has a fabulous demeanor about her that makes you appreciate any ensemble she puts together.

Hairstylist, Adir Abergel created Anne's vintage inspired side swept up-do influenced by the classic style of Audrey Hepburn and the screen siren glamour of Rita Hayworth. Begin by parting hair to the side. Then apply Instant Volume Spray by Fekkai, $19.50, to the roots for a full blow dry using The Classic Brush, $95.
Once hair is blown-dry with lots of body, reshape the side part again to really accentuate it.
Next, pull hair back into a modern chignon and fasten to the side with several hair pins. Keep the look soft and sexy with lots of movement.
Lastly, finish with hairspray for a light hold with lots of shine. Bellisima!

How-To: Sienna Miller's MTV Movie Awards Hair

Sporting a sparkly dress and beach ready hair, Sienna Miller stepped onto the red carpet last night with a smile. Her blond locks were styled by Frederic Fekkai's Adir Abergel and, since most of you were loving her flowing surfer-girl waves, I have the tips to recreate the style at home in about 20 minutes, minus shampoo and blow-dry time. After washing, fight flyaways with a humidity blocking product that also seals in hydration for long lasting sleekness (like Frederic Fekkai Marine Summer Hair Zero-Humidity Frizz Control).
Then add lift and volume at the roots. Adir used Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Spray Gel to get the job done.
Next, blow dry completely before curling. Adir used a 1 1/4-inch curling iron and wrapped hair around the iron in small sections, leaving the ends out.
Once the curling is done, apply a finishing cream on little chunks of hair to create separation on the ends.
