Growing up, I always thought Alyssa Milano was so cool. She was a few years older than me, and in my then pre-junior high opinion, she had the best claw bangs around. A few years back, Milano played around with her style, cutting her typically long hair into a short pixie. And now, several years later, she's returned to her signature locks - this time with a bang. At the LA premiere of Yes Man I was loving her fringe. So, what do you think? When it comes to Milano's hair, which style suites her best?

Do You Think Nose Piercings Are Cool?

Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus showed off her new nose piercing on her Twitter page. What do you think of her latest addition? Throughout the years, celebrities such as Alyssa Milano, Nicole Richie, Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson have all accentuated their nostrils with a little bling. As for me, although my schnoz remains unpierced, I have to confess that the temptation definitely exists. However, I remain conflicted as to whether or not I could ever face the needle - that long, big, scary needle. How about you? Are you all for calling attention to this facial feature, or is it just not your bag?

Spring Hair Color Dos and Don'ts

It's a new season, so why not consider changing your hair color? Whether you head to a salon or pick out a box color to use at home, a new hue might be just the thing to lighten your mood. Robert James, a San Francisco-based colorist who's worked with stars such as Alyssa Milano, Carmen Electra, and Gwen Stefani, offers these tips for having beautiful and healthy hair for spring.

Don't overdo it.
Instead of all-over highlights, add a few well-positioned lighter pieces. "People are going for a more beachy look," James says. "Think of Sarah Jessica Parker. She's doing mostly brown with a few lighter pieces around her face and her ends."

Do put down the bottle.
"Don't shampoo every day," James advises. "But do condition as often as possible, because the sun depletes moisture."

Do keep your costs under control.
Partial highlights can still brighten your face while keeping your budget in check. "Only highlight around your hairline, or highlight only down the parting as opposed to having a full set," says James.

Don't think that dye is the only option.
"Glazes are good for in between services," James explains. "Shine treatments condition hair, and they're far less expensive."

A licensed esthetician, Jennifer used her extensive knowledge of skin care and her near obsession with quality to create her own line of cosmetics. "We wanted a makeup line that would be rockstar enough for us, yet approachable enough for any woman," she told me. "We carry very exclusive lines and saw an opportunity to create something that would be able to be stand up in that kind of company." The end result is a collection of sophisticated yet edgy colors presented in colorful, tattoo-inspired packaging that has already earned the attention of Jennifer Garner, Alyssa Milano, and Nigella Lawson.

I am pleased to report that the colors are fun, fresh, and flattering. I was wary of the bright orange Tigerlily stick blush at first, but it was pleasantly creamy and wearable. The shadows, whose names pay homage to iconic tattoo designs (Anchor, Mermaid, Dagger), are sheer color washes with a hint of shimmer. But for me, the true stand-out product is a newly released perfume oil, Smitten. With notes of tangerine, white pepper, florals and a touch of patchouli, it has an earthy, spicy-sweet aroma.

When I asked if she used any special ingredients in her products, Jennifer slyly replied, "Yeah, we put a little awesome in every box." I love a funny lady.
