These final two days were absolutely lovely, with more old-guard designers like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Oscar De La Renta injecting an elegance that nicely hedged the experimental looks from younger designers. Transformers: 5 Rings With a Beauty Secret Inside

When I was little, I was absolutely obsessed with those cheapy clear plastic rings full of glittery, gooey lip gloss in what I now realize were totally gross artificial flavors. As my ability to judge product quality has improved, though, my nostalgia for those little rings hasn't left me. Feeling sentimental the other day, I Googled "lip gloss rings," only to find that there are, in fact, a whole bunch of high-end, very pretty versions that are totally appropriate for grown-up ladies. Coming Soon: Anna Sui Night of Fancy

The latest fragrance from Anna Sui, to be released later this year, has a lovely bottle that beauty junkies are already swooning over. The perfume comes on very strong - when I first put it on, I thought I smelled like very fancy mouthwash. The scent dries down into a powdery blueberry, which isn't awful but feels a little Violet Beauregarde. In addition to blueberry as a top note, Night of Fancy also has grapefruit leaves and wild strawberries as well as warmer base notes like jasmin and cashmeran.

In all, this fragrance is a little teenage for my tastes, but perfume is a personal enterprise. My advice? Try before you buy.

Anna Sui Gives Us Something To Smile About

Happy models from all kinds of backgrounds? Anna Sui, I think I love you. This show was a great reminder that fashion should be fun, and it's so refreshing to see models grinning on the runway. What's more, the backstage area was so well-run that models' makeup was done more than an hour before showtime - unheard of!

This fresh makeup look came courtesy of makeup artist Pat McGrath, who previewed lots of products. "It's very sunny, very fresh," she said of the look. "The models look like they've been outside in the sun." To get the lips, she put Anna Sui #400 lipstick, a sheer red, over a forthcoming lip stain marker. (You're going to love these when they come out in January, promise.) Another product preview from the runway: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme mascara. The wand is nearly identical to my beloved Cover Girl Lash Blast, but Pat promises even thicker lashes when it hits stores this winter. Can't wait - and can't get enough of these gorgeously smiley models, either.

Anna Sui Has Sweet Scented Nail Polish

The other day, a friend of mine stopped by with a bottle of Anna Sui Nail Color ($13). Instead of her getting excited over the shine, the shade, or about its long-lasting quality, she was kvelling about the smell. I reluctantly took a whiff, sure that the fumes would knock out the next generation of growing brain cells, but I was pleasantly surprised that the scent was masked by a floral scent.

Apparently, most of Anna's products are enhanced with tea rose and peony extract. She has a fondness for roses - remember those wicked lip gloss rings I talked to you about last year?

Tea rose has been proven to help alleviate stress, calm nerves and revitalize and uplift the senses. It also helps reduce the symptoms of hay fever and allergies (sounds like it contains a natural antihistamine). Peony extract comes from the foot of the flower and it helps moisturize and keep your nail beds healthy.

Fragrance Review: Anna Sui Flight of Fancy

Just a few short months ago, Anna Sui launched a new, fresh, floral and ultra feminine fragrance called Flight of Fancy. Since I like the packaging, I was hoping to love the scent. Unfortunately, I found it to be slightly too sweet for my taste. It combines notes of litchi, yuzu, lemon, star magnolia, rose, freesia, amber crystals, musk and white woods. The result: a flowery, candyish, overly sugary scent that gave me a headache.

Also, I thought it was kind of interesting that it smells a lot like her Secret Wish fragrance. Since the perfumes were displayed right next to each other at the counter at the department store, I tested them all out. The woman behind the counter shrugged when I asked her what the main differences were, which was a bit odd.

Even though the scent is too sweet for me, I really love the ad that goes along with Flight of Fancy. The fragrance was inspired by Anna's favorite bird, the peacock. So not only is the top of the colorful bottle shaped like a plume, but model Jessica Stam wears a decadent peacock hat with all kinds of plumes, net and feathers on it. I love the colors and the way she looks so girly.

Anna Sui Flight of Fancy is available in a 6.7 oz shower gel ($38), a 6.7 oz body lotion ($42), and in three various eau de toilette sizes ($45–$72). For those of you looking for something super sweet, it might be up your alley.

Well, Fab called it: Anna Sui's spring collection certainly is a polarizing one. The clothes are pretty punky, with hair and makeup to match. I can't say the short 'do is my thing, but I could definitely get behind the pink streaks. But while I love the thick eyeliner, it looks a little muddled on Johnny Rotten-er, Jessica Stam-at left. What do you think?

Product Review: Anna Sui Rouge Godet Rouge Jar

Anna Sui Rouge Jar in Rouge Godet ($15) is a lip gloss that goes on crystal clear and then turns into a light, cherry tint when it comes in contact with your body heat. It works much the same way a mood gloss or one of these presto-chango cheek products do.

What's great about this gloss is that it has no sparkle and no gooey stickiness. It feels a lot like a lip balm, but you get the benefit of also getting a natural flush color stain that lingers longer than a regular gloss or lipstick would. Also, it's really moisturizing: It softens your lips while also making them look nice and shiny.

The only complaint I have is about the strong smell. It's flowery and very perfumey, and since it's right under your nose, it takes a little while to get used to. But overall, this product is a grand slam-I highly recommend it. If you've tried it, do you agree?
