I’ve attended my fair share of bachelorette parties, from the tame cocktail hour/swanky dinner varieties to the no-holds-barred blowouts complete with Chippendales and all things phallic. When it comes to celebrating the bride on her big night out, there is definitely a difference between classy and trashy. Don't get me wrong.

A few years ago, my dear friend Becky got hitched to a handsome fella. Before she walked down the aisle, we had a no-holds-barred bachelorette shindig for her. I was in charge of where we'd be going, and what we'd be doing, and I wanted to make the other guests feel special, too.

It's Wedding Party Week on the Sugar network, so I'll be bringing you a few beauty posts related to bridal showers and bachelorette bashes. Traditionally, showers involve gift-giving and cutesy games, while bachelorette weekends are all about getting wild and crazy. Using events such as your engagement party, bridal shower, and even your bachelorette party are great opportunities to test out potential wedding makeup looks to see which one you like the best in photographs.
Take Kate Moss for example.

Being a bridesmaid can become a financial burden. Not only are you likely expected to buy a dress and attend multiple pre-wedding events such as an engagement party, a shower, and a bachelorette party, but you are also expected to come bearing gifts.
All of these costs add up pretty quickly and you haven't even made it down the aisle yet!
