Nude lip glosses are the end all, be all of makeup because they're so versatile. They can be worn on a bare face, with a dark or metallic smoky eye or with a touch of blush and mascara. They've been one of the top beauty trends among celebrities and It girls for the past few years and it doesn't seem like this pale lip look is going anywhere.

Below, I've listed my all-time top five favorite nude glosses - and let me just say, these were not slim pickings. There are so many to choose from, but I based my decision on color versatility, texture and scent. What's your top pick for nude lip gloss?

Besame Cosmetics Enchanted Lip Glaze in Latte ($23) is a thick, creamy and sweet vanilla-scented gloss that leaves lips feeling moisturized and looking off-the-charts shiny.
Scott Barnes Lip Slick in Suggestive ($22) is an over-the-top creamy lipsticky-lipgloss. It's a favorite of Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson and is available in five nude shades to suit all skin tones.
Laura Mercier in Petal ($22) is a rich, opalescent, beigy-pink shade that lasts long and has been recently re-formulated with a hint of vanilla. The shine is brilliant and the neutral color makes it a makeup case staple.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Gloss in Quartz ($16) has remained one of my favorite glosses for over a year because of its smooth, non-tacky texture and wearable color. It's by far the palest of the nudes listed, and looks beautiful over a neutral lipstick or worn alone.
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect in Beige Velvet ($24.50) is a shiny, light-reflecting nude-pink lip gloss that blends into the color of your lips. This is my go-to gloss for subtle daytime color.

Pink Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

I love this brand, as does miss matilda because not only are their products fantastic, but their packaging is really something special too.

What makes these glaze glosses so gorgeous is the texture. They are thick, smooth and they provide full coverage. Also, the formula contains apricot seed, macadamia, collagen, sweet almond and jojoba oils to create a really creamy, shiny, full and moisturized lip.

All of the glosses are paraben free, and since they have Vitamins A, C, and E in them, they keep your lips nourished and healthy. Also, have I mentioned their awesome light vanilla scent? Remember that vanilla supposedly makes guys attracted to you! Once you've tried one you'll be addicted. I can't explain it, but they just make you feel pretty!

Besame Cosmetics is a company that launched in 2004 by married couple and creators Gabriella (CEO) and Fergus Hernandez (COO). It began with minimal products and is now really taking off. Their tag line is "Effortless Beauty and Elegant Style" and from what I can tell from their luxe gold packaging and rich color choices, this beauty brand services some tres chic clientele.

The line includes: lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner, eye brow pencil, rouge (blush) eyeshadow, souffle (liquid foundation), translucent face powder and powder foundation.

A Hummingbird eye/lip/brow sharpener is also expected to launch soon and it doubles as a pin that can be worn on your lapel or hat. This will come in three colors. Also, launching today is Sculpture Lash Mascara in plum and black.

What's cool about these cosmetics is if you aren't sure what color is right for you, or if you aren't ready to commit to a full sized product, you can order samples on their try it page for just $1.50 each. Each sample is enough for three applications. I can't wait to hear what you think!
