For those of you who have been skimming over my blue makeup posts because you don't think blue makeup is for you, I encourage you to experiment with ceruleans, sapphires and indigos. All of those shades of amazing azures are very "in" for Fall.

Your best bet is to choose colors that contrast the iris of your eye to make them look more vibrant. The blue makeup spectrum ranges from pale pastels to electric brights, so there is definitely something out there for everyone to fancy! Blue is Back, Part IV: Electric Blue Mascaras

Welcome to the final installment of blue is back, my four part series on blue makeup. Today we are looking at a couple of bad-ass electric blue mascaras. These are great when navy feels too safe, but you're feeling scared that purple might make you look bloodshot. Blues are a great way to add edginess to a natural or smokey eye.

Bourjois Maxi Frange Maximum Length And Volume Mascara Waterproof in Bleu Bora Bora ($19) is a double-sided, waterproof mascara. It's a gorgeous color that reminds me of aqua-green waters just as they meet royal blue skies on a tropical horizon.

One side houses a comb containing a creamy formula to help separate the lashes and prevent clumping, and the other side houses a round brush that adds length and volume. Use both sides for the ultimate dramatic eye!

Sephora Mascara Fantastic Color in Blue ($6) is an ultra-vibrant mascara with cool packaging. It comes in a flexible squeezy tube, so that you can actually make use of the product at the bottom. Also, it has a new slim wand to help you create a more precise look.

Finally, Dior Show Mascara in Azure Blue ($23) is a rich, high-pigment, bright blue mascara. One coat will give you longer, thicker, curvier lashes and two coats will give you dramatic volume and shine for an electrifying runway-ready look. Blue is Back, Part III: Aqua Eyeliners

Welcome back to part three of my series on bright blue makeup. If you've missed the past posts, you can check out some beautiful blue-green and turquoise eye shadows here. Below are three electric aqua eyeliners great for creating anything from an edgy rock-star look to that of a playful party girl!

Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner in Drunk Dial (17.50) is a daring liquid teal blue eyeliner that is packed with glitter. The super-fine brush makes application easy, and it is formulated with good-for-you ingredients like soothing carrot and calming cucumber.

Wear it alone or on top of an already pencil-lined eye for increased intensity And if you think this name is cute, you should see the rest of them. Makeup can be so much fun!

Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes in Turquoise ($16) is a waterproof eye liner pencil that glides on smooth and lasts all day long-even through your sweat and tears!

MAC Technakohl Liner in Smoothblue ($14.50) is an ocean blue color with a frosty sheen. What's great about this mechanical liner is that you can maneuver the pencil to lay flat for a thick line, or use the tip of the point for a fine line.

The texture is soft and creamy and the color is intense! It blends easily, but you have to work fast since the color will dry to a smudge-proof finish rather quickly.

Blue is Back, Part II: Turquoise Blue Eye Shadows

Part II of my series on bright blue makeup focuses on turquoise eyeshadow. Elizabeth Taylor first made the azure eye famous when she played Cleopatra. This season, history repeats itself and we see all kinds of color-blocking fashions, with cosmetics following suit.

You don't need to be quite as dramatic as Taylor, who paired her bold blue shadow with a dramatized wing-tip liner. But then again, who's to say that you can't walk like an Egyptian if you want to?

Nars Eye Shadow Duo in South Pacific ($31) is a shimmering turquoise and a dark aquamarine powder eye shadow duo that can be layered for a dramatic, edgy evening look or dusted lightly over the eye for a soft romantic twist on the traditional smoky eye.

DuWop Blue Eyes ($26) is a palette that contains five different eye colors (a mix between cream and powder shadows). Three have the same color base, two are metallics and the last is a cream liner. This bright blue palette is a great way to get the blues!

MAC Cosmetics Jewel Blue Eyeshadow ($14) looks especially amazing on darker-toned skin. This is a highly pigmented powder eye shadow that blends well and lasts long.

Blue is Back, Part I: Green-Blue Eye Shadows

Blue makeup is back, and I'm not talking about subtle icy pastels or navys. I mean bold turquoise, ocean and sea-foam greeny-blue hues! If you think that you can't pull these off because of your eye color, think again! These new shades have no rules. Just remember a few helpful hints and you'll look fab this fall.

Choose shades that aren't too matchy with your eye color, and remember to blend well! Also, if you are going to wear bold, daring color on your eyes, then keep the rest of your makeup light.

Dior Eye Show in Aquadelic ($30) is a creamy, soufflé-textured, waterproof eye shadow that puts other color pots to shame. You just need a super-small amount to make a big impression! These shadows used to be the secret of Dior makeup artists, but now they are available to the masses!

Lancome Color Design Eye Shadow in Excursion ($15) is a highly pigmented greenish-blue shadow that glides on effortlessly and has incredible staying power thanks to its new Micro-Air technology.

Colorescience Genie Sparkle Eye Shadow in Sea Of Love ($17.50) is a marine blue shadow with a metallic sheen. This mineral shadow is great for your skin, and will put the perfect amount of twinkle in your eye. These shadows can be used wet or dry, and they contain SPF protection!

Witchy Makeup Ideas: Teen Witch

Have you seen Teen Witch? If not, I suggest you do so, merely to see the fabulous rap scene of teenage angst circa 1989. The flick stars Blake Lively's older sister Robyn Lively as Louise Miller, a teenage descendant of witches from Salem. Over the past few weeks, I've been featuring all sorts of witchy ideas for the Halloween season, so to conclude the series, here are a few tips on achieving Louise's Teen Witch look.

Much as the look for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch is '90s all the way, this look is totally '80s. All you need is a long ginger-red wig with bangs. (Cut them down if you have to.) For the ultimate wow factor, create claw bangs on the style by setting the fringe with some self-grip, nonthermal rollers. Once you've achieved the perfect rolls, clip your teased locks back on the sides with a large barrette, and wear frosty makeup. For special touches, include a witch's broomstick accessory and a triangular necklace with swirly blue detailing, which helps give Louise her special powers. Witchy Makeup Ideas: Wicked's Elphaba

When it comes to Halloween, there are a few standards. You can't get any more classic than with mummies, vampires, and of course - witches. Last week, I was inspired by the White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia, a beautifully frosty costume choice. Today, let's go with a more standard interpretation, Wicked's Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. But this character is hardly witchy at all, just a little misunderstood. Beautiful in her own right, Elphaba's just not a hairy warts kind of gal. To get her look, it's all about going green, complete with emerald or gold nails, long wavy hair pulled back into pigtails, emphasized brows, and a cone-shaped hat. For Elphaba's schoolgirl look, wear wire-rimmed glasses, a blue beanie, and a braid tossed to the side.

Gotta Cry? These Tips Help Reduce Puffiness Afterward

I have friends who seem to be made of steel, and while they do get a good cry in every now and then, it's a rare occasion. I, however, am a little more sensitive. When the urge strikes, it's too hard for me to hold back those tears. Of course, like me, you probably don't always want to let the world know you've been weeping away. Only time will help the puffiness go away, and perhaps a dark pair of sunglasses will help, but there are a few things you can do in the meantime to reduce the swelling and redness. 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards: Vanessa Williams

Back in July, when I had the chance to interview Vanessa Williams, I couldn't help but notice the actress's stunning, steely, blue-gray eyes. And tonight, she put the focus on those famous peepers with a shimmery champagne shadow on the lids and a deep smoky brown in the creases. As for her hair, she wears it down in a cascade of curls, her warm-toned highlights peeking through. She's up for an award for her work on Ugly Betty this evening, and I'm sure many of you are hoping for a win for the longtime actress. But when it comes to Vanessa's hair and makeup tonight, do you give it a winning review?
