I've long been a fan of Boots makeup and skincare line, and I was pretty happy when it jumped across the pond and into American drugstores. But I haven't tried its Vanishing Day Cream ($13). The packaging is adorable, though, and reader stef42678 has nothing but raves about it. She says:

I really love this moisturizer because it's thick and creamy, and it really makes my skin smooth. It has a light, vanilla scent that's so yummy, and doesn't feel oily when it's on. I like that it's so thick, because it's calming to my skin and makes it so soft.

Doing Drugstore: Boots No7 Soft and Sheer Tinted Moisturizer

Falling temps bring on rosy cheeks and yet another reason to keep moisturized since the cold weather can do a number on your skin! If you're working in lunchtime workouts this Winter (kudos to you!), a tinted moisturizer with SPF not only keeps your skin protected, it leaves fewer products to sweat off or reapply after the shower.

Always looking for inspiration from my pal Fit, I picked up a tube of Boots Tinted Moisturizer on a more successful trip to Target, telling myself that it would be better to be out $12 if it didn't work out than out $32 for my higher-end choice. So did it? Find out when you read more.

I admit I was skeptical (only three shades?) but, lo and behold, it was wonderful! It glides on nicely and left my skin feeling moisturized but not greasy. If you've seen the product in the store, even though it looks dark in the tube, the actual color's very mild, blends well, evens skin tone, and doesn't look too "made up" either. I've tossed it into my gym bag for safekeeping . . . . the first baby step to a newer, sportier me!

Boots No 7 Extends Restore and Renew Range

Rumor has it that this Fall, Boots No 7 will be launching a sequel to last year's restore and renew serum cult craze by coming out with day, night, and eye creams. The products are already available in the UK under the name Protect and Perfect, and the Brits are buying them up left and right.

So now that the word's out, you'll want to look for these newbies at Target, who'll have the US exclusive. Once they hit shelves, you'll need to be ready to jump - unless, of course, you want a repeat experience of last year's ridiculously long waiting list.

Gee, I wonder if all the folks who waited in line to buy the limited quantities of Boots No. 7 Restore and Renew are ticked off that it's available to everyone less than two weeks later. A lot of you are curious about this serum (as am I!) and a few have said that the stuff really does get rid of fine lines. Apivita Propoline High Protection Face Cream SPF 30 ($21) is a really rich facial sunscreen made with grape seed to nourish, hydrate and shield dry skin in particular. Also, it smells great and it offers the skin protection from both UVA and UVB rays.

Is the 'Miracle Serum' Worth the Hype?

Good luck trying to find Boots No7 Restore & Renew serum at your local drugstore. Both Target and CVS stock the cult beauty item-in theory. It's been sold out everywhere, but if you happen to be in New York City, tomorrow's your lucky day. One CVS in Manhattan, at 630 Lexington Avenue, will have a shipment of the $21.99 serum, but customers will be able to buy only one bottle.

The hubbub over Restore & Renew is that scientists have proven that it has a similar effect to Tretinoin, which is the effective ingredient in Retin-A. That's excellent for an over-the-counter product, but I can't help but think that if you have health insurance, actually getting a prescription for Retin-A might cost just a few dollars more (and you wouldn't have wait in a long line to get it). Then again, if you don't have insurance, or if Retin-A makes you peel like crazy, Restore & Renew would be a pretty good deal. Either way, I want to try the Boots serum-but I'll wait until the frenzy has died down. What do you think? Is this hype justified? (For a guide that explains what serums are, click here.)

New Product Alert: Boots No7 Restore and Renew Serum

So apparently this new Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum is getting serious buzz. The BBC news in the UK reported proof that the product actually and scientifically prevents and repairs the signs of aging. Word traveled so fast to the US that in no time at all, the serum completely sold out nationwide.

This reminds me of the time when Jergens released their Natural Glow lotion and you couldn't get it anywhere - there was actually black market for the stuff! Anyway, it's been so highly sought after that the Today show did a segment on it a couple of weeks ago.

Boots has quickly reacted to their demand for supply, and claims that another version of the serum called Boots No7 Restore and Renew Serum ($21.99) will provide equivalent results. The only difference in the serums is a small molecular variation in the formula necessary to pass US FDA regulations.

Gooey Glosses Galore!

There truly is a lip gloss for everyone. You have your creamy glosses with a lipstick-like texture and more opaque coverage, your balmy glosses, which help to heal chapped lips, and then you have many, many other lip glosses that are just downright gooey.

User Review: Michelin on Boots No. 7 Radiant Glow Concealer

Last week, I told you about the U.K. brand Boots coming to Target, so it seems fitting that our first-ever user review on BellaSugar is a Boots product. TeamSugar user Michelin posted this review of the Boots No7 Radiant Glow Concealer ($12.99) in the Beauty Product Junkies group this week, and I liked it so much I just had to share it with you guys. I'm only 18, but I have dark undereye circles. (Thanks Mom!) I like more natural-looking makeup, so I've gone through a million different concealers trying to find one that covers well without looking too heavy. For a long time I was lusting after Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, but at $38.50, it was a little out of my price range for a concealer. When Target got in the new Boots line, I was so excited to try this that I went out and bought it right away.

I LOVE this product. It covers so beautifully, blends easily, and really does brighten up my eyes. It comes in two shades.

I found a little trick to using it, too. Spread a generous amount under your eyes with the little brush, but don't blend yet. Let it sit while you spread under the other eye, then go back and gently blend it in with your finger, then do the other eye.
