Brad Pitt Wants To Shower With You

Humina humina! As if it weren't enough to get close to Brad Pitt's lips, now he'd like to take a shower with you. Well, kind of. He's teaming up with Kiehl's to launch a new product, Kiehl's Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser ($16.50). The body wash is free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, and dyes - and it's packaged in 100% recycled plastic.

But here's the twist: Brad isn't appearing in any ads, and Kiehl's isn't making a bundle of cash from this deal. Instead, 100 percent of profits will go to JPF Eco Systems, a green charity that Brad created with Kiehl's. WWD estimates that more than $1 million will go to support various ecologically friendly projects, beginning with Make It Right, the post-Katrina charity that helps build green homes in New Orleans. Brad's hands are all over the project, including the label that features his own handwriting.

It's nice to know that Brad's thinking of all of us when we're naked in the shower, isn't it? And it's even better to know that when the cleanser comes out in October, we'll all be able to return the favor while doing good.

Which of These Gorgeous Guys Covers Up Their Gray?

I nearly plotzed when I read that some of these adorable leading men color their hair so that their gray doesn't show. Apparently the double standard about aging is starting to crumble. Wouldn't it just be nice if society would let men and women grow old gracefully and naturally already?

If you visit Japan, you might be surprised by how many Hollywood movie stars are used to hawk everyday products that they never do back in the US. Jodie Foster has made coffee commercials for the Japanese market, Winona Ryder has driven around in a Subaru, and Madonna has donned a kimono to promote a distilled rice drink. And then there's Charlize Theron, Jennifer Connelly, Anne Hathaway, Demi Moore, Harrison Ford, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt... and now, Orlando Bloom is dancing around for Uno hair products. Meet Dr. Vail Reese, a San Francisco dermatologist who brings new meaning to the phrase "skin flicks." When he's not working, he's busy maintaining Skinema.com, a fun and fascinating site about skin in cinema. I recently sat down with Dr. Reese to talk about celebrity skin, acne, Botox and more skin topics. We had so much to talk about that I'll be adding more from him in the future. For now, read on!

You run Skinema.com, a website chronicling skin and dermatology in cinema. Which celebrities have good skin, in your opinion?
Nicole Kidman. She's a role model for being fashionably fair. So are
Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon and Keira Knightley. These are women who are not hitting the tanning beds. Being tan is last century's look. With all that said, Keira has acne, but so do a lot of stars-like Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In the last Harry Potter movie, they had to go in frame-by-frame and digitally fix blemishes.

What's the best way to find a dermatologist?
Talk to your regular doctor to find out who’s reputable. It’s more powerful to talk with family members, friends and coworkers. I also suggest contacting the American Academy of Dermatology. That way, you’re getting someone who's board-certified.

How prevalent is adult acne?
You are not alone if you have adult acne. Usually, it's worse with people who didn't have severe teenage acne. In our society, teenagers are expected to have acne. They're not thrilled about it, but at least they're not alone. By the time they reach their 20s, their acne usually isn't as significant.

But when a twentysomething client walks in breaking out, it's a double-whammy. They're trying to be professionals, but it's often considered juvenile, and that undermines confidence. Does acne impact peoples' lives? Absolutely. So I don't give acne the brushoff. People worry that they're vain, but I don't think it's wrong to want to look your best. It's biologically normal to want a healthy complexion! The good thing is, we have treatments at all stages.

So what do you recommend?
There's no magic bullet. Treatments need to be tailored to each person, but there's usually something that will work. Especially with acne, dermatologists have things to offer that you cannot get over the counter.

You also have to be patient. In reality, acne does not clear in three days. Anything we prescribe takes longer than three days because it's fixing problems at the pore level. Basically, with any acne treatment, it takes time to see the full benefit. You'll see a benefit in four weeks, more in eight, and in 12 weeks you get a real sense of the improvement.

Does diet affect acne?
I don't find that diet plays a role.

But you have to admit, sometimes you can look at someone's skin and tell they're not healthy, they're not eating well.
Well, maybe on that level. If people get more rest and eat a good diet, that helps. But they can still get acne. Eating chocolate, for instance, isn't going to cause acne.

Are there any over-the-counter remedies that you recommend?
Low-strength benzoyl peroxide can clear bacteria, and I recommend using gentle cleansers for acne. And there are some good moisturizers with sunscreen, which everyone should use.

Well, I'm obsessed with wearing sunscreen. But can you tell readers why it's so important?
When I see someone who's 18 and getting sun, I can see where their skin is headed-where it'll be at 28, 35. They're headed for wrinkling, discoloration, or even skin cancer. So stay away from the sun-no tanning beds! And wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF of at least 15, but more preferably, 30. Put your dermatologist out of work!

Available in Bay Rum and Cool Water scents, they're a convincing knockoff of the soap that Brad Pitt holds on the movie poster. Fortunately, the homage goes only so far; this soap is made with shea butter and glycerin, not human fat. It is our third year making the list, and this time we decided to spice things up by having readers vote on a playoff format bracket to narrow down the list from 128 finalists all the way to number one. Last week, the Oscar nominations were announced, and that means we're in the heart of awards season. While I realize that the majority of people get most excited about the best actress, actor, and movie portions of the awards, the Bella in me gets excited for the lesser known, behind-the-scenes kind of people. Yep, I'm talking makeup artists, who somehow make mythical creatures more realistic, Jokers more insane, and Brad Pitt look less Brad Pitt-esque. In Hollywood, it's not always about the glitz and the glam, as this year's set of nominees prove. They include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Help Us Choose the PopSugar 100 and Win a Chanel Bag!

It's time to make the third annual PopSugar 100 List and this time we're mixing things up to make it even more interactive and fun. This year it's single-elimination tournament style with a bracket to help us narrow down to the perfect list. We chose 128 celebrities who we divided into four groups and then ranked from 1-32. The potential PopSugar 100-ers are then paired up in head-to-head matches, at which point you'll all vote on who had the bigger year.

Whoever wins will then proceed to the next round and so on until we have the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 right down to the single winner. The first round starts today and will last two weeks in which you can vote on each of the first 64 matchups - just click on any pair of names and work your way around the bracket! Pretty lips are healthy lips, but most people deal with the occasional bout of chapped lips. When Chapstick isn't enough to smooth your lips, they simply need good exfoliation. You can use a warm, damp washcloth to scrub away dry skin, but when you're away from home, turn to a lip exfoliator to get rid of the flakies. I've compared two of my favorites, MAC Prep + Prime Microfine Lip Refinisher and Leaf and Rusher Tx Lips.
