Coming Soon: Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick

Usually when we see Catherine Zeta-Jones in her Elizabeth Arden ad campaigns, she's looking glamorous and classic. Not so with this new promotional photo for the brand's Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick ($19.50). Catherine looks hypermodern, runway ready, and a little bit like Victoria Beckham (to me, anyway).

So aside from this out-of-the-ordinary photo, what's different about the lipstick? Break out your old chemistry notes: It contains three esters, which provide shine and emollient properties. It also contains vitamins A, C, E, and aloe, so it won't dry out your lips. The 18 shades are all shiny, but they have different effects: creams, shimmers, and pearls.

The shades are launching online first (right now there are a few available) and hit counters in May. FYI: Catherine's favorite color is Cranberry Cream, and when I post a followup review of the lipsticks, I'll let you know which one I like best, too.

What's The Wackiest Ingredient You've Used as an Exfoliator?

In Touch reported that Halle Berry used coffee grinds as a body scrub when she ran out of her exfoliator. Catherine Zeta Jones uses strawberry seeds as a skin brightener and exfoliator (she claims it even whitens her teeth) and Christie Brinkley admitted to using kitty litter in a pinch since the main ingredient is clay.

Pretty resourceful ladies, don't you think? I remember when Bobbi Brown came out with Sandbar soap as part of the summer Beach collection and I thought that was really clever and inventive. Tell me, what is the wackiest ingredient you've ever had to use in place of an exfoliator?

Love It or Hate It? Catherine Zeta-Jones Lashes Out

Catherine Zeta-Jones hosted the reopening of New York's Elizabeth Arden boutique yesterday. As usual, she was impeccably dressed, and her hair is as glamorous as you'd expect from an Oscar winner. I think the eye makeup is just a little too much for her, though; what's your opinion?

How To: Get Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Everything Glows Look

Catherine Zeta-Jones is the spokesperson for Elizabeth Arden, and here she is modeling the new Everything Glows Makeup Collection. Isn't she a beaut? To find out about how to create this look for yourself, read on!

Face: Start with a clean, moisturized face and apply Ceramide Plump Perfect Makeup SPF 15 in the shade most suitable for your skin tone.
Eyes: Using the colors in the Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad, apply the lightest shade to the entire lid and sweep the light brown shade across brow bone. Next, use the darker brown color to the right in your crease and blend well. Lastly, line your top and bottom lashes with grey and go over the bottom lash with light brown to soften the line. Apply two coats of Double Density Maximum Volume Mascara in Double Black.
Cheeks: Sweep Color Intrigue Cheekcolor in Sunblush onto the apples of your cheeks and blend upward towards your hairline.
Lips: Line lips with Smooth Line Lip Pencil in Plumrose and apply Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick in Perfect Cassis with a lip brush. Top with Crystal Clear Lip Gloss for added shine!

You may be willing to experiment with daring looks, but you always know when to say when. Look at Gwen, for instance: She favors bold blonde hair and bright red lips, which could be garish if they weren't balanced by low-key eyes and skin.

What doesn't Wearing neutrals, and neutrals alone. Libras really shine with a shot of color, so if most of your hair and makeup routine is low-key, play up your best features with a bold hue. (Think of Avril Lavigne's streak of pink hair, or Parminder Nagra's soft green eyeliner.)

The Enchanting Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Perfume

Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean was inspired by Catherine Zeta-Jones and her love of and fondness for the Mediterranean Sea. It was created by perfume artisan Claude Dir, who successfully captured the essence of Capri and Sardinia, where blue skies and warm sea breezes meld with the smell of mountains and warm sand.

The fragrance features floral and wood notes such as peach nectar, sorbet, wisteria, sandalwood, mandarin plum, star magnolia, orchid, musk and amber. The feminine, oval bottle is made from cerulean blue heavy glass, ostensibly to match the color of the sea. The cap is hammered silver-a gorgeous compliment to the icy blue fluid.

Haircuts To Flatter Your Face Shape: Part II, Round Faces

You may covet your favorite celeb's hairstyle, but if the 'do doesn't fit your face shape, you're likely to be disappointed. Hence, FABSUGAR's four-part series on the haircuts that best flatter your face. Welcome back for our second installment: round faces. (To read last week's advice on heart-shaped faces, click here.)

If you have a full, round face, you share your facial structure with Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey, Kate Bosworth, Cameron Diaz, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The shape is characterized by a round chin and lack of sharp angles. Round faces tend to be wider at the cheeks, with softer shaping along the jawline and forehead. Round faces need balance, which can be achieved with hairstyles that make the face appear longer.

Soft, long layers are also pretty because they the appearance of a longer and slimmer face. The layers also reduce bulk and heaviness from the sides.

Bangs are flattering, but keep them long or side-swept. Go for wispy and tapered ends to de-emphasize the roundness of your face.

Try and stay away from blunt cuts if you have short hair. These only emphasize your round face.
