Milla Jovovich Shares Her New Big Project (and Her Look)

You might know Milla Jovovich as a model and actress, but her talents don't end there; she's a singer and musician, too. Last night, at a Chopard and L'Oréal Paris bash, Milla shared a bit about her new synth-pop single, "Electric Sky," which she debuted at the Life Ball in Vienna. "It's really exciting," she said of her forthcoming EP. "It was me and my two closest friends. We just did it in my home studio, on the computer." Next up? An accompanying video, which, like the single, will be available online for free. In the meantime, we'll settle for borrowing her summery makeup palette. She wore L'Oréal's Infallible eye shadow in Amber Rush and Infallible Le Rouge lipstick in Charismatic Coral. Like just about everything else Milla puts together, it's a beautifully unconventional pairing.

Leave it to fashion fiend January Jones to be a whole season ahead of the rest of us. At the Metropolitan Opera's premiere of Manon, the Mad Men star was all kitted out in a black silk Yves Saint Laurent gown from the Fall 2012 collection. Understandably, with such a dark, atmospheric ensemble, January's makeup artist tried to lighten the palette up a bit using seasonally appropriate lavender shadow and soft fuchsia lipstick to offset the austerity of her look. Emily Blunt always wears polished makeup looks, but her gorgeous cat-eye liner from the Salmon Fishing in the Yemen premiere has to be one of her prettiest. Makeup artist Jenn Streicher was inspired to play off the '50s silhouette of Emily's Naeem Khan dress, using Dior Style Liner's fine-point brush to create a retro cat eye.

Liquid liner is the best formula for creating winged shapes, but it's notoriously difficult to use. One way to make things a little easier, though, is with a fine-point brush.
